Melbourne\u2019s build-up to the finals has been rocked by an untimely blow, with second-rower Shawn Blore ruled out after suffering a fractured larynx.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The 24-year-old, who had been growing into a reliable presence on the edge, will miss Thursday night\u2019s showdown against Brisbane and faces an uncertain timeline for return.<\/p>\n

The setback leaves Craig Bellamy scrambling just as his side looked close to full strength, buoyed by the return of Dally M Medallist Jahrome Hughes. In Blore\u2019s absence, Ativalu Lisati has been promoted to the starting pack, a significant vote of confidence in the youngster.<\/p>\n

While Blore\u2019s absence is a cruel twist, the Storm can at least lean on the experience of Hughes, who reclaims the No.7 jersey to reunite with Cameron Munster in the halves. Outside backs Xavier Coates and Will Warbrick are both named, with Nick Meaney shifting into the centres alongside Grant Anderson.<\/p>\n

Up front, Josh King marks his 100th Storm appearance, while Nelson Asofa-Solomona replaces Stefano Utoikamanu, who has been rested. Tyran Wishart, Alec MacDonald, Tui Kamikamica and Joe Chan round out a bench designed to provide both spark and stability.<\/p>\n
