\u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d is bulking up its ranks following a string of departures.<\/p>\n
The long-running sketch show on Monday announced five new people were being added to the cast as so-called feature players \u2013 Tommy Brennan, Jeremy Culhane, Ben Marshall, Kam Patterson and Veronika Slowikowska.<\/p>\n
Marshall is already a familiar face on \u201cSNL,\u201d having appeared on-camera as part of the comedy trio \u201cPlease Don\u2019t Destroy\u201d and a staff writer since 2021.<\/p>\n
Culhane, Patterson and Slowikowska, meanwhile, boast robust followings on TikTok, where, naturally, they are known for their comedy videos.<\/p>\n
Slowikowska, who has nearly 700,000 followers on TikTok, has also had a recurring role on FX\u2019s \u201cWhat We Do in the Shadows.\u201d<\/p>\n
Culhane\u2019s acting roles have included parts on \u201cThe Sex Lives of College Girls\u201d and \u201cHeathers.\u201d<\/p>\n
Patterson will soon be seen in Netflix\u2019s Kevin Hart-led comedy \u201c72 Hours,\u201d but is best known for his standup.<\/p>\n
Brennan is also known for his comedy work, having previously performed on \u201cThe Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.\u201d<\/p>\n
The new additions come after four cast members\u2019 departures were confirmed last week, with Heidi Gardner, Michael Longfellow, Devon Walker and Emil Wakim not returning for season 51.<\/p>\n
The new season of \u201cSNL\u201d premieres October 4.<\/p>\n
