The Silver Arrows aren\u2019t expected to change a thing, with George Russell and Kimi Antonelli<\/a> set for another 12 months together.<\/p>\n There\u2019s a chance that they can fight for second in the constructors\u2019 championship<\/a>, which could have a big financial impact on their future, if they can beat Ferrari to the honour.<\/p>\n Antonelli did exactly what Mercedes \u2018want\u2019<\/a> despite crashing at the Dutch Grand Prix. He\u2019s being aggressive with his rivals.<\/p>\n After the race, 1996 Formula 1 champion Jacques Villeneuve told Antonelli to make drastic changes at Mercedes<\/a>. A loan was not in their plans.<\/p>\n Since then, Antonelli has \u2018not met the expectations\u2019<\/a> and his future may not be at risk beyond the 2026 season.<\/p>\n Ex-Haas boss Guenther Steiner believes that his team will have no choice but to abandon him for 2027 if he fails to make inroads next year.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m sure that Mercedes is not happy that he makes these mistakes, but I think they have no other choice,\u201d he said. \u201cThey know that he came, the plan was not to put him in this year. <\/p>\n \u201cThe plans changed and therefore, I say, I think this year they can live with it.
