{"id":115321,"date":"2025-09-03T09:30:09","date_gmt":"2025-09-03T09:30:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/115321\/"},"modified":"2025-09-03T09:30:09","modified_gmt":"2025-09-03T09:30:09","slug":"ferrari-reveals-one-off-f1-car-livery-celebrating-lauda-at-italian-gp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/115321\/","title":{"rendered":"Ferrari reveals one-off F1 car livery celebrating Lauda at Italian GP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.autosport.com\/team\/ferrari\/36466\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Ferrari<\/a> will run a one-off Formula 1 car livery at this weekend\u2019s Italian Grand Prix, commemorating the 50th anniversary of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autosport.com\/driver\/niki-lauda\/843456\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Niki Lauda<\/a>\u2019s first world championship victory.<\/p>\n<p>Lauda won the 1975 championship on 7 September at Monza, with this year\u2019s running of the race taking place on the exact same day.<\/p>\n<p>At the time, a third-place finish had been enough for the 26-year-old Austrian to be crowned with one grand prix remaining, such was his advantage over <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autosport.com\/team\/mclaren\/36473\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">McLaren<\/a>\u2019s Emerson Fittipaldi and Brabham\u2019s Carlos Reutemann. Ferrari team-mate Clay Regazzoni gave the tifosi another reason to celebrate with victory on their turf.<\/p>\n<p>   <img decoding=\"async\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/niki-lauda-ferrari-312t-1.jpg\" alt=\"Niki Lauda, Ferrari 312T\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" loading=\"lazy\"\/> <\/p>\n<p class=\"title\">Niki Lauda, Ferrari 312T<\/p>\n<p class=\"photographer\">Photo by: Rainer W. Schlegelmilch \/ Motorsport Images<\/p>\n<p>Ferrari is therefore reprising its 312 T\u2019s livery on its SF-25s, with the same shade of red and a white engine cover. The wings\u2019 shade of grey does look darker, with the rear wing described as \u201cmetallic silver, evoking the aluminium used in those days before carbon fibre became the F1 standard\u201d. The drivers\u2019 overalls, boots and helmets will also be a throwback to that era.<\/p>\n<p>Lauda\u2019s title-winning 312 T will be exhibited \u201cstarting tomorrow and throughout September\u201d at the Maranello Museum, where the Italian GP qualifying and race will be broadcast.
