Power<\/a> will join Andretti<\/a> alongside Kyle Kirkwood and Marcus Ericsson, taking the place of Cadillac-bound Colton Herta.<\/a><\/p>\n Although the statement only referenced 2026, TWG Motorsports boss Dan Towriss confirmed Power has signed with Andretti Global on a multi-year agreement.<\/p>\n \u201cWill is on a multi-year deal from that standpoint,\u201d Towriss revealed, speaking with James Hinchcliffe and Alexander Rossi on their podcast Off Track.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re excited to have him on, and as we continue to build our driver line-up, we\u2019re super excited about that.\u201d<\/p>\n Power joins Andretti Global off the back of a 17-year tenure at Team Penske.<\/p>\n In that time, he took two IndyCar titles, an Indianapolis 500 win, and a record-breaking 71 pole positions.<\/p>\n \u201cI just want to say how excited I am to be joining Andretti Global,\u201d said Power.<\/p>\n \u201cI can\u2019t thank Dan [Towriss], Jill [Gregory] and the team enough for this opportunity.<\/p>\n \u201cColton is someone that I\u2019ve been massively impressed with for a while. He has a lot of natural ability, and I think he\u2019s going to do a great job over in Europe.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m excited to watch him and will work to step in and do everyone on the 26 team proud.\u201d<\/p>\n For Power, it marks a new era in his IndyCar career. It also means a move away from Chevrolet, with the Australian to be powered by Honda for the first time since 2011.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m really looking forward to meeting all the Andretti team and getting to work in 2026,\u201d said Power.<\/p>\n \u201cThey have some very smart people, and I know it will be enjoyable to get to winning.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m also looking forward to driving for Honda. They\u2019ve been a tough competitor, and I look forward to working with the entire HRC team.<\/p>\n \u201cAlso, I have tremendous respect for Kyle [Kirkwood] and Marcus [Ericsson]. I\u2019ve had some great battles racing against them, and I think we\u2019re going to make a great combination as teammates.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is a whole new chapter for me. I have to say that sometimes a change of scenery and a fresh start is very energising. I can\u2019t wait.\u201d<\/p>\n Jill Gregory, chief operating officer of TWG Motorsports and Andretti Global president, hailed Power\u2019s signing.<\/p>\n \u201cFirst, I want to thank Colton Herta for all the great memories and success he brought to Andretti Global during his time with the team,\u201d said Gregory.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re incredibly proud of him and wish him the best in his new F1 journey.<\/p>\n \u201cWe couldn\u2019t think of a better driver than Will Power to fill Colton\u2019s shoes here at Andretti and take the wheel of the No. 26 Honda.<\/p>\n \u201cWill is a fierce competitor whose record speaks for itself. Additionally, he\u2019s a great personality and we feel he\u2019ll be a strong fit for the team culturally as well.\u201d<\/p>\n
