Titans Tigers Match Preview<\/p>\n It\u2019s the final round of the NRL regular season and the Gold Coast Titans will welcome the Wests Tigers to a sunny Cbus Super Stadium on Saturday afternoon in what will be both sides\u2019 final hit out for the year.<\/p>\n The Titans come into this clash having gone down in a high scoring 36-30 loss to the Dolphins, and need to win if they want to have any hope of avoiding the dreaded wooden spoon; while the Tigers fell victim to red-hot Raiders side in pursuit of locking up the minor premiership as they succumbed in a hard fought 24-10 loss.<\/p>\n The Titans haven\u2019t had much to cheer about this season, but back in front of their home faithful, they will be hoping to send veteran five-eighth Kieran Foran<\/a> and outgoing coach Des Hasler out on a high. Foran is set to stay on as an assistant coach under Josh Hannay next year, while as a going away present Hasler will give Titans fans their first look at former Wallabies half Carter Gordon<\/a> and under 19\u2019s QLD Maroon lock Cooper Bai, who could both play a big role in the club\u2019s future.<\/p>\n This season has been much improved for the Tigers who, after a hat-trick of wooden spoons, sit in 11th heading into their final match of the season. While they may not be playing finals footy in 2025, Tigers fans have to feel the future is bright as long as the forward pack is being led by Terrell May<\/a>. The front rower played himself to an absolute standstill against the Raiders, amassing 121 running metres and four tackle breaks to go along with 59 tackles.<\/p>\n Two crafty halves will be on full display in this match up as Jayden Campbell<\/a> and Jarome Luai<\/a> look to light it up on the glitter strip. Both halves are capable of using their elusive running games to create opportunities for those around them, or for themselves at a moment\u2019s notice. If either Campbell or Luai can find a lazy defender on the edge of the ruck, it could quickly turn into points.<\/p>\n The Titans have won six of their last 10 against the Tigers and 17 of their 28 clashes all time. In team list news, Jojo Fifita<\/a> misses this clash for the Titans, which sees AJ Brimson<\/a> move into the centres, and with Keano Kini<\/a> returning to the starting side for the first time since his return from a spinal injury.
