\n\tHBO<\/a> is enacting more name changes, as the cabler has given a cosmetic makeover to six of its U.S. linear channels.<\/p>\n

\n\tHBO2 will now be called HBO Hits. HBO Signature is now\u00a0HBO Drama. HBO Zone will henceforth be known as\u00a0HBO Movies.<\/p>\n

\n\tPlus, Warner Bros. Discovery is reviving the Cinemax name. MoreMAX\u00a0is now\u00a0Cinemax\u00a0Hits. ActionMAX will now be called Cinemax Action. And 5starMAX is renamed\u00a0Cinemax Classics.<\/p>\n

\n\tThese updated names will be reflected on TV starting today, and they\u2019ll also apply to the live in-app \u201cchannels\u201d within HBO Max, which allows users on select plans to stream live HBO programming via simulcasts.<\/p>\n

\n\tThis rebrand comes two months after Warner Bros. Discovery changed the name of its streaming service, formerly known as Max, back to HBO Max. The streamer first launched as HBO Max in 2020 and was renamed to Max in 2023 to capture the full breadth of the post-merger Warner Bros. Discovery catalog. In summer 2025, it was renamed back to HBO Max, and the streamer riffed on a famous \u201cWhite Lotus\u201d line on social media: \u201cThese rebrands are trying to murder me,\u201d it said in its updated X bio. (Lest we forget the now-defunct HBO Go and HBO Now.)<\/p>\n

\n\tAt the 2025 WBD upfront, CEO David Zaslav said, \u201cThe powerful growth we have seen in our global streaming service is built around the quality of our programming.
