There\u2019s FX\u2019s \u201cAlien: Earth,\u201d already at its midway point, and as of this week, we now have the full second season of \u201cWednesday.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tBut yes, if summer 2025 offered a manageable number of shows you could actually keep up with, well \u2026\u00a0 the firehose is about to turn on again to drown you. On last year\u2019s post-dual-strikes fall season \u2014 a veritable tsunami \u2014 our\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/lists\/fall-tv-shows-2024-preview\/\">preview list<\/a>\u00a0of new and returning series was 65 shows deep, and this fall isn\u2019t all that different: Below, we\u2019re taking you on a chronologically ordered journey through more than 56 shows.  (And just today, Peacock announced that the fourth and final season of \u201cBel-Air\u201d will premiere on Nov. 24.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tNot everything has been dated yet, either. HBO has \u201cThe Chair Company\u201d from \u201cI Think You Should Leave\u201d co-creators Tim Robinson and Zach Kanin (starring Robinson) this fall. And in late-breaking news,  HBO\u2019s much-anticipated \u201cIT: Welcome to Derry\u201d \u2014 the 1960s-set prequel to Andy Muschietti\u2019s feature-film adaptations of Stephen King\u2019s terrifying 1986 novel \u2014 will scare the crap out of viewers beginning on Oct. 26. Muschietti himself developed it, along with Barbara Muschietti, and Jason Fuchs, and the cast will include Taylour Paige, Jovan Adepo and (shaking with fear as we type this) Bill Skarsg\u00e5rd as Pennywise. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tOne feature of last fall\u2019s deluge was the six (6!) shows from creator Ryan Murphy: This fall, Murphy has \u201conly\u201d four offerings, including three with dates below, \u201cMonster: The Ed Gein Story,\u201d the latest from Murphy\u2019s Monsters-verse, along with \u201c9-1-1\u2033 and its new spinoff, \u201c9-1-1: Nashville.\u201d Undated, however, is the Kim Kardashian-led (!!!) legal drama \u201cAll\u2019s Fair,\u201d in which Kardashian\u2019s character is modeled after her very own divorce attorney, Laura Wasser (the \u201cdisso queen,\u201d as TMZ calls her). On \u201cAll\u2019s Fair,\u201d Kardashian, in her first lead role on a scripted series, will be flanked by Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash-Betts, Teyana Taylor and Matthew Noszka, with Sarah Paulson and Glenn Close also among the cast.\u00a0That will bow on Hulu in November. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tNetwork television had a resurgence in the 2024-25 season, with dramas such as \u201cTracker,\u201d \u201cHigh Potential,\u201d \u201cDoc\u201d and \u201cMatlock\u201d (among others) showing there are still significant signs of life (and large audiences!) to be found on broadcast \u2014 which is why it\u2019s slightly confusing that, other than the previously mentioned \u201c9-1-1: Nashville,\u201d\u00a0only CBS\u00a0has new scripted shows on the schedule this fall. Of course, all four broadcasters have tons of returning shows, including Fox\u2019s Sunday animation block, led, as always, by \u201cThe Simpsons,\u201d on Sept. 28, and a full night of \u201cNCIS\u201d on CBS (\u201cNCIS,\u201d \u201cNCIS: Origins\u201d and import \u201cNCIS: Sydney\u201d) premiering on Oct. 14. But what the hell? Per the logline, \u201cThe gang learns of a secret program that goes back to the founding of Godolkin University that may have larger implications than they realize.\u201d In an <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2025\/tv\/news\/gen-v-tribute-chance-perdomo-comic-con-1236470768\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">interview at Comic-Con<\/a> at Variety\u2018s studio,  \u201cGen V\u201d showrunner Michele Fazekas talked about how Season 2 will pay tribute to Chance Perdomo, who was one of the show\u2019s leads in Season 1.
