Screen icon Michael Douglas has retired from movies, giving him more time with wife Catherine Zeta-Jones, but insiders say the Chicago Oscar-winning actress really craves space and finds her husband\u2019s neediness suffocating.<\/p>\n

Sources say that the 80-year-old Basic Instinct star\u2019s constant clinging is putting a strain on their marriage just a few months ahead of their 25-year wedding anniversary.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe marriage has worked best when they had space from each other,\u201d notes an insider. \u201cAt one point they were living in separate houses in Connecticut and Catherine loved having her freedom.<\/p>\n
