\n\t\t\t\t\tIf you’re cast on The Amazing Race Australia you really need a competitive edge. Unless you’re Rob ‘Millsy’ Mills.\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n

When you enter The Amazing Race: Celebrity Edition you\u2019re expected to take things seriously, Rob Mills.<\/p>\n

But hey, Millsy is one of entertainment\u2019s nice guys. So is Stephen Curry. So is Ed Kavalee. And so are a bunch of other Aussies all in the mood for a little hijinks in foreign countries for the sake of a TV show.<\/p>\n

Why wouldn\u2019t they band together when thrown in the deep end in Nepal, Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, and Indonesia? After all we\u2019re a long way from home, strength in numbers and all that\u2026<\/p>\n

And when the challenges are as bizarre as stacking hay or hanging maize a little Aussie humour goes a long way.<\/p>\n

So it was for Rob Mills and partner Georgie Tunny, supposedly competing for charity on 10\u2019s latest reality quest, but soaking it all in and having such a \u2018Millsy\u2019 Mills time of it all that producers had to keep reminding them.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe all just got along so well, there were times we were helping each other out. They were like, \u2018Stop helping each other, because it\u2019s a competition!’\u201d he tells TV Tonight.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe can\u2019t help it. We all love each other!\u201d<\/p>\n

Not in the spirit of the show, Rob Mills. Didn\u2019t he inject some reality-like Hunger Games aggression for the cameras?<\/p>\n

\u201cNo mate, no friction at all. Like it was really fun to hang out with Fev (Brendan Fevola), who I\u2019ve known for a little while, and spend some quality time with him. You just get to know what a genuinely lovely human being is. He\u2019s a big kid, but also a really great dad. Not just to (daughter) Leni on the show, but to everyone around him,\u201d he continues.<\/p>\n

\"Two<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Curry brothers were like having brothers on the race. We got along really well with Luke and Scott, Aisha and Scott were a very funny Kiwi couple we really enjoyed their company as well\u2026.. even Ed and Tiff, there\u2019s some good LOLs there. I\u2019ve got to say I thoroughly enjoyed the company of everybody.\u201d<\/p>\n

Honestly, who cast this thing? Don\u2019t they know Reality TV requires win-at-all-costs? Divide and conquer? Haven\u2019t they seen MAFS?<\/p>\n

Millsy reckons he and Georgie, to whom he his long engaged, had their share of dilemmas. Georgie\u2019s pretty rank at directions, which is kinda crucial on a trek of this scale.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn normal, everyday life, I\u2019m the navigator, so I should never have taken her advice because there\u2019s so many times throughout this race that Georgie and I go the wrong way. The challenges we do really well. The first few challenges she really carried the team and then I think I took over after that. But I\u2019m really proud of her. She never gave up on one challenge,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese challenges are pretty hard. I\u2019ve done half marathons, 100 kilometre walks. I\u2019m not talking about physical strength here at all. It\u2019s the emotional toll of those long, long days that challenges take and the resilience. She can\u2019t even ride a bicycle. I mean, I love her, but she didn\u2019t give up once.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur relationship is so much better from doing this. I remember before we left, thinking, \u2018This is going to break us or make us 10 times stronger.\u2019 And we\u2019re 10 times stronger.\u201d<\/p>\n

Also joining them are Bronte Campbell & Benfield Lainchbury, Dom \u2018Tomato\u2019 Di Tommaso & Marx Marsters, Luke O\u2019Halloran & \u2018Sassy\u2019 Scott O\u2019Halloran, Melissa Leong & Leah Wilson, Lindy Klim & Stella Klim, Steph Tisdell & Ben Tisdell, Gretel Killeen & Epiphany Mason.<\/p>\n

\u201cI got some great advice from Peter Helliar. He and his wife had the best time. He said, \u2018Just be yourself.\u2019 And that\u2019s honestly, that\u2019s what they encouraged everyone to do. So I suppose it\u2019s all in the casting,\u2019 he suggests.<\/p>\n

\u201cI remember at one stage, Georgie said, \u2018Like, who are we? What\u2019s our character? We\u2019re not like villains or anything.\u2019 I go, \u2018We\u2019re just the nice nerds.\u2019 But I think that\u2019s okay. We don\u2019t have to be the super-funny people, the overly-sporty people. I think being just ourselves is actually okay.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"A<\/a><\/p>\n

But a good Reality show also requires drama right?<\/p>\n

Enter SAS Australia\u2018s Ant Middleton and brother Dan Middleton, who if press articles are to be believed, were booted from the show for misconduct, one night after a little partying.<\/p>\n

And here is where things do get a little spicy.<\/p>\n

10 Publicity, which has confirmed one couple is removed from production, has not confirmed which pair, \u2026..but then, you do the MAFS.<\/p>\n

\u201cFollowing a breach of the production\u2019s code of conduct by one contestant, on a day off during production, a team from The Amazing Race Australia was disqualified and swiftly sent home,\u201d said 10.<\/p>\n

Finally some drama, then?<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not allowed to tell you on the record,\u201d Millsy admits.<\/p>\n

Say whaaat?<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll just say one thing\u2026.. Georgie and I were both disappointed with the actions of said people. That\u2019s all I\u2019ll say. Very disappointed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wow if you manage to offend Millsy Mills you must be pretty poor.<\/p>\n
