The Block fans were left shocked when Channel 9 chose to air a dangerous incident involving a two-year-old.<\/p>\n
It has now been revealed the family of the child were promised by producers the scene wouldn\u2019t be aired.<\/p>\n
The drama on The Block 2025<\/a> has simmered down compared to previous seasons but Nine\u2019s decision to air the child crashing a car has become the subject of hot debate \u2013 for all the wrong reasons.<\/p>\n On Monday\u2019s episode<\/a>, Scotty Cam took contestants Mat and Robby on their \u201cMonday getaway\u201d to the Touki Trout farm to \u201ccatch their dinner\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cWho in their wildest dreams would ever think we would be having a beer with Scotty Cam fishing for trout,\u201d Mat said. <\/p>\n The Block had a small incident at a trout farm.<\/p>\n RELATED: \u2018Killer\u2019: Block stars cry in brutal take-down<\/a><\/p>\n Revealed: Block foreman\u2019s shock new role <\/a><\/p>\n \u201cBut the highlight of the highlight of the highlight \u2026 as we are trout fishing we hear this beep, beep, beep, in this car behind us, and Robert the owner says \u2018Oh don\u2019t worry, it\u2019s just my grandson\u2019,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Although they were told it was just the two-year-old grandson in a parked car, Mat goes on to explain how they then watched the car drive through a bush and crash into a tree in the embankment.<\/p>\n \u201c(Robert) \u2026 pulls out a two-year-old by his hand,\u201d Mat said.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are standing there going, how was no one talking about this, or panicked?\u201d<\/p>\n Viewers then saw a small car crashed into a tree and hear the trout farmer owner Robert talk to his grandson over wails from the child: \u201cI\u2019ll get him back to his mum.\u201d<\/p>\n A car crashed into a tree during filming.<\/p>\n MORE: Owner cops $2k bill in secret insurer spy cam<\/a><\/p>\n Robert\u2019s wife and Tuki Trout Farm co-owner, Jan, has since expressed her disappointment to Yahoo Lifestyle after the show\u2019s producers aired the scene involving her grandson, despite promising it would not be broadcast. <\/p>\n She confirmed their grandson was \u201cunharmed\u201d following the incident.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was a little, minor accident, and we did ask them not to show that. They promised not to,\u201d she told Yahoo Lifestyle. <\/p>\n \u201cThe child, obviously, is completely unharmed and much loved, so we\u2019re really disappointed that it was shown.\u201d<\/p>\n The Block fans were also left baffled by the scene and took to social media to express their dismay.<\/p>\n The Block contestants Mat and Robby left baffled by the incident.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m amazed anyone thought this was funny and even more amazed it made it to air. Who the hell was supervising that toddler? Thank goodness the car nudged into a tree \u2013 could just have easily ended up in the dam.
