MALIBU, Calif. \u2014 Pepperdine women’s tennis head coach Tassilo Schmid<\/a> has announced the full schedule for the upcoming 2025 fall season for the Waves.<\/p>\n The Waves will feature in 13\u00a0events leading up to the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championship in November. The slate features six ITF pro events where Pepperdine will send athletes along with a quartet of ITA events including the All-American Championships, Southwest Regionals, Conference Masters and\u00a0Division I Sectionals.<\/p>\n The season opens at the Battle in the Bay hosted by the California Tennis Club in San Francisco from Sept. 11-14. The Waves will then head to Cary, N.C., for the ITA All-American Championships, marking the the lone east coast trip of the season before the NCAA Championships in Florida.<\/p>\n Pepperdine then begins to send athletes to the pro circuit beginning with the ITF W35 Berkeley and ITF W75 Templeton from Sept. 22-28. The Waves will also compete from Sept. 25-28 at the USTA SoCal Intercollegiate Championships hosted by the University of San Diego.<\/p>\n The pro events continue into October, with the ITF W50 Rancho Santa Fe and ITF W35 San Rafael from Sept. 29-Oct. 5, followed by the ITF W35 Redding (Oct. 6-12) and ITF W35 Bakersfield (Oct. 13-19) heading into the ITA Southwest Regionals.<\/p>\n The ITA Regionals\u00a0will see the Waves head down the coast again to San Diego, with USD and UC San Diego playing host as individuals will have the opportunity to earn automatic bids into the NCAA Championships.<\/p>\n Following a week off, the Waves will compete in the local Jack Kramer Club Invite in Los Angeles from Oct. 31-Nov. 3.<\/p>\n Nov. 6-9 sees both the ITA Sectionals and ITA Conference Masters, with Pepperdine set to be represented in both tournaments. The sectionals provide another opportunity to earn automatic bids into NCAAs later in the month, with a location to be determined. The ITA Conference Masters event will be held in San Diego.<\/p>\n The season culminates at the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships, held in Orlando, Florida at the USTA National Center. In 2024, the Waves qualified for a spot in both the singles and doubles draw as Savannah Broadus<\/a> earned a spot in both with Vivian Yang<\/a> by her side in doubles.<\/p>\n The Waves are coming off a 2024-25 season that saw the program’s 11th consecutive West Coast Conference Championship as Pepperdine reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament with a first round victory over Wake Forest.<\/p>\n Pepperdine\u00a0enters the season with four ranked in the top-100 of the ITA Preseason singles rankings, including First Team All-WCC honoree Anastasiia Grechkina<\/a> and reigning WCC Co-Freshman of the Year Alexia Harmon<\/a>, as the sophomore duo also came in as the No. 21 doubles pair in the ITA preseason rankings.<\/p>\n The incoming class saw a pair of the top-ten newcomers in\u00a0the ITA rankings, as \u017diva Falkner<\/a> and Sonja Zhiyenbayeva<\/a> join the program in Schmid’s first full season at the helm.<\/p>\n FALL 2025 SCHEDULE ABOUT PEPPERDINE WOMEN’S TENNIS

Pepperdine women’s tennis has been a consistent powerhouse in the collegiate scene, reaching 40 NCAA Tournaments since 1982 including 28 straight appearances. Since 2018, the program has seen three national runner-ups between both singles and doubles while reaching an NCAA Regional as a team eight times in the past nine tournaments. The success at the conference level has been paramount with 33 WCC Championships including an active streak of 11 consecutive conference titles. With its 24 total All-Americans, the program has also consistently sent players to the pro circuit following their time in Malibu.
