Broadband satisfaction survey results<\/p>\n

Table notes: Based on an online survey of 4,347 members of the public conducted in January 2025 and representative of the UK population (aged 18+). Ratings and scores are for broadband or broadband and phone packages. Which? Recommended Providers are labelled ‘Recommended Provider’. Customer score is based on satisfaction and likelihood to recommend. We need at least 50 responses to include a survey result.<\/p>\n

\"\"What makes a Which? Recommended Provider?<\/p>\n

Which? Recommended Providers are the cream of the crop, and we only give the accolade to internet service providers (ISPs) that get a customer score of 70% or more.<\/p>\n

That’s not all. We know that price is important, so we only give the award to those broadband companies we feel charge a reasonable price for their services. If they charge too much, they’re not eligible to be Which? Recommended Providers, whatever score they get in our customer survey.<\/p>\n

They must also be signed up to two new schemes from Ofcom: its codes of practice and its automatic compensation scheme.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The two are designed to ensure a fairer broadband market \u2013 the codes require providers to give customers clear indications of the speed they can expect, and a minimum speed that’s guaranteed. Automatic compensation ensures that those who experience poor service get money back when things go wrong, without having to chase it.<\/p>\n

Both exist, in part, thanks to campaigning by Which?, but they are also voluntary. We’ll only endorse providers that have committed to both schemes.<\/p>\n

What makes a Great Value broadband provider?<\/p>\n

To earn our endorsement as a Great Value provider, broadband companies must offer broadband deals at a decent speed for a price that’s cheaper than the market average.<\/p>\n

We conduct a rigorous pricing analysis to look at the partial and full fibre deals on offer at the speeds required by the majority of broadband customers. And we don’t only focus on the headline price \u2013 we also look into upfront and setup costs and factor in both introductory offers and price rises to check whether deals that might look attractive actually end up costing over the odds.<\/p>\n

Eligible providers must also have a strong customer score \u2013 though we will consider those that aren’t quite good enough to be Which? Recommended Providers.<\/p>\n
