After falling behind 22-0, things got even worse for the bottom-placed side when fullback Fletcher Hunt was knocked out cold.<\/p>\n
Hunt was giving chase to a bomb when his head slammed into the elbow of Isaiah Iongi, who had soared to grab the ball.<\/p>\n
The 19-year-old appeared to be out cold instantly before he head slammed into the turf in a sickening thud.<\/p>\n

\u201cI imagine that will be game over for Fletcher Hunt,\u201d Warren Smith said.<\/p>\n
Hunt was assessed a category 1 head knock, meaning his season was over long before the halftime siren even sounded, as were the Knights\u2019 chances of avoiding the dreaded wooden spoon.<\/p>\n
The Knights ultimately managed to hit back on the scoreboard with Jermaine McEwen crossing in the 27th minute.<\/p>\n
But the Eels weren\u2019t finished with as they ran in two more tries before the break to head into the sheds with a commanding 34-4 advantage.<\/p>\n
The first half belonged to Mitch Moses, who registered his first career hat trick and produced arguably the Eels\u2019 try of the season. <\/p>\n
After scooping the ball up just outside his own 10-yard line, Moses burst through a hole and took it coast-to-coast.<\/p>\n
The Eels didn\u2019t take their foot off the accelerator as they poured in six more tries in the second half to record the 66-10 victory.<\/p>\n
It was the Josh Addo-Carr party in the second half as he joined Moses in scoring a hat-trick with two coming in the space of three minutes.<\/p>\n
The result makes it the fifth time the Knights have won the wooden spoon, finishing the season with a 6-18 record.<\/p>\n
For the Eels, they finish on a high, having won their final three games of the season to muster up a 10-14 record and an 11th-place finish.<\/p>\n
