He turned in a brilliant effort in the standup throughout five rounds <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bjpenn.com\/mma-news\/nassourdine-imavov\/ufc-paris-results-nassourdine-imavov-defeats-caio-borralho-highlights\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">to defeat Caio Borralho inside Accor Arena<\/a>. \u201cThe Sniper\u201d isn\u2019t guaranteed the next crack at Chimaev, as an Oct. 18 clash between Reinier de Ridder and Anthony Hernandez could determine the next middleweight contender depending on the outcome.<\/p>\n<p>Chimaev was paying close attention to Imavov\u2019s performance, and he chimed in on <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/KChimaev\/status\/1964454500275802554\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">social media<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"in\" dir=\"ltr\">Good fight! <br \/>Assalamu Alaykum \ud83e\udee1\ud83d\ude01<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Khamzat Chimaev (@KChimaev) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KChimaev\/status\/1964454500275802554?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">September 6, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cGood fight! Assalamu Alaykum\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Imavov <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bjpenn.com\/mma-news\/nassourdine-imavov\/nassourdine-imavov-thinks-he-sealed-khamzat-chimaev-title-fight-following-ufc-paris-win\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">believes he sealed the deal<\/a> for the next UFC middleweight title challenger after his victory over Borralho.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople said that against Adesanya, he was the best striker in the world and I couldn\u2019t fight with him on the feet, but I knocked him out,\u201d Imavov said during the UFC Paris post-fight presser. \u201cThis guy, Caio \u2013 I didn\u2019t have to fight against him, but I did it. He was coming from 10 years in a row of victories, 16 straight victories, seven in a row in the UFC, and I won every round. Once again, I proved I\u2019m the best. For me, there\u2019s no discussion that I\u2019m going to fight for the belt.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chimaev captured the UFC Middleweight Championship with a dominant grappling performance over Dricus du Plessis. Chimaev secured nearly 22 minutes of control time on his way to a unanimous decision victory to close out UFC 319.<\/p>\n<p>Now, \u201cBorz\u201d will wait to see the result of \u201cRDR\u201d vs. \u201cFluffy,\u201d and the UFC brass will then make a decision on the next 185-pound title fight. Chimaev has yet to be defeated in his pro MMA career and many wonder if there\u2019s any other middleweight who will have an answer for him.
