Wedding gifts have higher limits: \u00a35,000 to your own child, \u00a32,500 to a grandchild, and \u00a31,000 to anyone else.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Larger gifts are covered by the seven-year rule. If you live for seven years after making the gift, it is free from inheritance tax.
