Brazil\u2019s No. 7-ranked <\/a>Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Middleweight contender isn\u2019t hanging his head after his first career UFC loss.<\/p>\n

Caio Borralho fell short in the UFC Paris<\/a> main event yesterday (Sat., Sept. 7, 2025), dropping a unanimous decision to No. 1-ranked<\/a> Nassourdine Imavov inside Accor Arena in Paris, France (watch highlights<\/a>). The setback snapped Borralho\u2019s impressive 16-fight win streak, which stretched all the way back to 2015.<\/p>\n

Less than 24 hours later, \u201cThe Natural\u201d took to social media with a powerful statement, reflecting on the journey and vowing to return stronger than ever.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe the defeat makes you forget.
Forget the struggle to get here.
From the days when no one believed.
From tiredness. Of all deliveries. And it hurts.
Perhaps the defeat makes you think that all this was in vain.
But it wasn\u2019t.
Defeat teaches us. Reveal. Build.

The leader of Brazil\u2019s \u201cFighting Nerds\u201d team \u2014 which also saw Mauricio Ruffy lose in the co-main event \u2014 took plenty of heat online<\/a> after UFC Paris. Still, Borralho seems unfazed, framing the loss as part of the process.<\/p>\n

Prior to Saturday, Borralho was perfect inside the Octagon with notable wins over Jared Cannonier, Paul Craig, Abus Magomedov, and Michal Oleksiejczuk, among others.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s no question he\u2019ll have to work his way back into title contention, but given his resume and mindset, Borralho\u2019s comeback campaign should be one to watch closely.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Natural\u201d also took to Twitter\/X saying he wants to return later this year.<\/p>\n
