US Stock Futures Point Higher to Begin Week  <\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_4-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block finance-sc-block-html mntl-sc-block-html\"> U.S. stock futures are pointing higher as investors look ahead to key inflation data later this week.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.investopedia.com\/terms\/n\/nasdaq.asp\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nasdaq<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.investopedia.com\/terms\/s\/sp500.asp\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"2\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">S&amp;P 500<\/a>\u00a0futures are up 0.4% and 0.3%, respectively, after the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.investopedia.com\/dow-jones-today-09052025-11804075\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"3\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">indexes posted modest gains<\/a>\u00a0last week.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.investopedia.com\/terms\/d\/djia.asp\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"4\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Dow Jones Industrial Average<\/a>\u00a0futures are higher by 0.2% after the blue-chip index declined for a second straight week. The yield on the 10-year Treasury note is inching higher. Bitcoin\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.investopedia.com\/markets\/quote?tvwidgetsymbol=btcusd\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"5\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">(BTCUSD<\/a>) is up, trading near $112,000. Oil futures are 2% higher. Gold futures are little changed.\n<\/p>\n<p>  2. Robinhood, AppLovin Stocks Jump on News of S&amp;P 500 Inclusion  <\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_7-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block finance-sc-block-html mntl-sc-block-html\"> Shares of trading app Robinhood Markets (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.investopedia.com\/markets\/quote?tvwidgetsymbol=hood\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">HOOD<\/a>) and mobile app monetization company AppLovin (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.investopedia.com\/markets\/quote?tvwidgetsymbol=APP\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"2\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">APP<\/a>) are up 8% and 9%, respectively, in premarket trading on news the two companies will be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.investopedia.com\/robinhood-applovin-additions-lead-s-and-p-500-index-changes-11804139\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"3\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">added to the S&amp;P 500<\/a> as part of the index&#8217;s quarterly rebalancing. The firms will join the benchmark index on Sept. 22, replacing Caesar&#8217;s Entertainment (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.investopedia.com\/markets\/quote?tvwidgetsymbol=czr\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"4\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">CZR<\/a>) and MarketAxess Holdings (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.investopedia.com\/markets\/quote?tvwidgetsymbol=mktx\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"5\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">MKTX<\/a>), respectively. Meanwhile, Emcor Group (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.investopedia.com\/markets\/quote?tvwidgetsymbol=eme\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"6\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">EME<\/a>) stock is up 2% on news it also will be included in the index, replacing Enphase Energy (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.investopedia.com\/markets\/quote?tvwidgetsymbol=enph\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"7\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">ENPH<\/a>).\n<\/p>\n<p>  3. EchoStar Stock Soars on $17B Spectrum Sale to Musk&#8217;s SpaceX  <\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_10-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block finance-sc-block-html mntl-sc-block-html\"> Shares of EchoStar (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.investopedia.com\/markets\/quote?tvwidgetsymbol=SATS\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">SATS<\/a>) are surging 20% in premarket trading after the DISH TV parent agreed to sell approximately $17 billion in spectrum licenses to Elon Musk&#8217;s SpaceX. EchoStar&#8217;s Boost Mobile subscribers will have access to SpaceX&#8217;s Starlink Direct to Cell service as part of the deal, which comes two weeks after EchoStar made a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.investopedia.com\/echostar-stock-soars-70-percent-as-it-sells-spectrum-to-at-and-t-for-usd23b-amid-fcc-pressure-11797473\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"2\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">similar deal with AT&amp;T<\/a> to sell $23 billion in spectrum licenses. US Would Have to Refund Tariffs if Supreme Court Upholds Ruling, Bessent Says  <\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_13-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block finance-sc-block-html mntl-sc-block-html\"> Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said that the U.S. could have to refund the tariffs it has collected if the U.S. Supreme Court upholds a lower court ruling that President Donald Trump\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.investopedia.com\/court-ruling-against-tariffs-adds-fresh-dose-of-uncertainty-to-economic-outlook-11801916\" data-component=\"link\" data-source=\"inlineLink\" data-type=\"internalLink\" data-ordinal=\"1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">exceeded his legal authority<\/a>\u00a0in setting the import taxes. Bessent said on NBC&#8217;s &#8220;Meet the Press&#8221; Sunday that if the ruling was delayed until June 2026, the U.S. could be in a position to refund between $750 billion and $1 trillion in tariffs, noting that it \u201cwould be terrible for the Treasury.&#8221; The Trump administration last week asked the Supreme Court to expedite a ruling in the case.\n<\/p>\n<p>  5. US Mulls Annual China Chipmaking Permits for Samsung, SK Hynix, Report Says  <\/p>\n<p id=\"mntl-sc-block_16-0\" class=\"comp mntl-sc-block finance-sc-block-html mntl-sc-block-html\"> The U.S. reportedly is mulling annual approvals for exports of chipmaking supplies to Chinese factories of Korean firms Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix. Bloomberg reported that Commerce Department officials presented the plan for a &#8220;site license&#8221; idea to Korean counterparts last week. The validated end user designations are set to expire at the end of 2025, the report said. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co.
