\"Rakesh Veteran filmmaker Rakesh Roshan<\/a> has shared a serious health update that took his fans by surprise. Known for directing and producing blockbuster films, Rakesh<\/a> recently opened up about a medical emergency that was discovered purely by chance, and it might just be a wake-up call for many.<\/p>\n

An eye-opening week<\/p>\n

Rakesh took to Instagram to share his experience and a photo from the hospital, revealing how a routine health check-up ended up being much more important than expected. He wrote, \u201cThis week has been truly eye opening, during a routine full body health check up the Dr conducting the sonography for the heart suggested I also do one for the neck.\u201d<\/p>\n

Silent danger discovered<\/p>\n

Despite having no symptoms, Rakesh learned that both the carotid arteries, which carry blood to the brain, were more than 75% blocked. This can be a dangerous condition that many don\u2019t even know they have.<\/p>\n

He shared, \u201cBy chance we found out that although asymptomatic, both my carotid arteries to the brain were above 75% blocked.\u201d He added how this could have been life-threatening, \u201cWhich if ignored could be potentially dangerous.\u201d<\/p>\n

Immediate action and recovery<\/p>\n

Not one to delay, Rakesh acted fast. He said, \u201cI immediately admitted myself into the hospital and got the preventative procedures done.\u201dLuckily, everything went well. He is now back home, \u201cI am back home now fully recovered and hope to get back to my workouts very soon.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rakesh sends a message for everyone<\/p>\n

While recovering, Rakesh took the opportunity to share a message with his followers, especially those over 45. He stressed how important it is to get regular health screenings, not just for the heart, but also for the brain. He said, \u201cThe heart CT and a carotid brain artery sonography (which is often ignored completely) is a must for everyone above 45\u201350 years old.\u201dHe added that early checks can help avoid bigger health problems later, \u201cI think it\u2019s important to remember that prevention is always better than cure. I wish a healthy and aware year to you all.\u201dOn the work front, it was earlier announced in April that \u2018Krrish 4\u2019 is in the works, with an exciting update, actor Hrithik Roshan<\/a>, Rakesh\u2019s son, will be directing the film. This marks Hrithik\u2019s directorial debut, and the next chapter in the superhero franchise. Fans are especially excited as Hrithik will also continue playing the lead role in the film.
