Just weeks after tearfully revealing she suffered a heartbreaking late miscarriage three years ago, Little Mix<\/a> singer Perrie Edwards<\/a> has reason to smile again.<\/p>\n

The singer<\/a> has taken to social media to reveal she is expecting a baby with her fiance Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. They are already parents to son Axel.<\/p>\n

The star announced the news in an adorable black and white video she shared on TikTok and Instagram.<\/p>\n

Perrie Edwards has revealed she is pregnant with her second child. (TikTok\/@Perrie)<\/p>\n

It starts with Edwards walking away from the camera. She is dressed in black pants and a white T-shirt with the words, “If he wanted to he would…” written on the back.<\/p>\n

She then turns around to reveal her pregnant stomach and the words “…And he did!” on the front of the T-shirt, before Oxlade-Chamberlain appears on camera to embrace his partner.<\/p>\n

The two are then joined by Axel, who turned four last month.<\/p>\n

She uploaded the video with the caption “Guess what hunnies…”<\/p>\n

The video has already been viewed more than 3.9 million times on TikTok, where it has so far received more than 700,000 likes. It has more than 1 million likes on Instagram.<\/p>\n

Edwards, who rose to fame as one-quarter of the girl group that won the 2011 season of the UK version of The X Factor, recently revealed she had suffered two miscarriages, including a heartbreaking late miscarriage about three years ago.<\/p>\n

She made the confession during the podcast We Need To Talk with Paul C. Brunson.<\/p>\n

A short clip to publicise the podcast showed an emotional Edwards \ufeffbreaking down as she said, “I’ve never spoke about it before and nobody knows.”<\/p>\n

In the interview, Edwards, 32, revealed \ufeffAxel was a ‘rainbow baby’ and she had suffered two miscarriages, one before and one after welcoming Axel.<\/p>\n

Of the second miscarriage, Edwards said she was in the midst of \ufeffrehearsals for Little Mix’s farewell The Confetti Tour in 2022 when she first suspected she was pregnant less than a year after welcoming Axel.<\/p>\n

“I was rehearsing for the last Little Mix tour, and I thought, ‘I don’t feel good’. Every symptom under the sun. I was like, ‘I think I’m pregnant’,” she said.<\/p>\n

Everything progressed normally until midway through the pregnancy.<\/p>\n

“We went for what was a 20-week scan, but we were actually 22 weeks, and that was just the worst day of my life. Like, horrendous,” she recalled.<\/p>\n

“I just knew something was wrong in the scan. I’ve never experienced an out-of-body experience where everything goes in slow motion.”<\/p>\n

While Edwards did not reveal what was wrong, she said that just two weeks later they were given the heartbreaking news there was no heartbeat.<\/p>\n

She recalled driving home afterwards.<\/p>\n

“I remember sobbing,” she said. “Alex was injured at the time and couldn’t really drive. He was struggling to drive, but I couldn’t see straight.<\/p>\n

“I was just distraught. We basically lost the baby at, like, 24 weeks.”<\/p>\n

Edwards, who also revealed she lost another baby before she welcomed Axel, said the second miscarriage was worse because she had already planned the baby’s nursery.<\/p>\n

“The first time it happened, I think because it was so early, I was like, ‘Oh, that’s hard’.<\/p>\n

“But I think when you’re 24 weeks and you’ve planned out that room and all these things, it’s really hard.<\/p>\n

“And nobody knows other than immediate friends and family.<\/p>\n

“I remember shortly after, friends would message and be like, ‘How’s the bump?’ And I’d be like, ‘There is no bump’.”\ufeff<\/p>\n

Edwards was just 17 when she auditioned for the 2011 season of The X Factor. She was eventually placed into a group that became Little Mix.<\/p>\n

During the show, Edwards met Zayn Malik, who was placed in the band One Direction during the same series.<\/p>\n

They became engaged in 2013 before breaking up two years later.<\/p>\n

In 2017, Edwards started dating professional footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. They have been engaged since 2022.<\/p>\n
