Aubrey Plaza is selling the Los Angeles home where her husband, Jeff Baena, was found dead, eight months after his passing.<\/p>\n
Baena died at age 47 on January 3 inside the Los Feliz property he shared with Plaza. The Los Angeles County Coroner later confirming the cause of death as suicide.<\/p>\n
Plaza, 41, recently broke her silence about her ongoing struggle to deal with her grief, telling fellow comedian Amy Poehler that her devastation felt like a \u201cgiant ocean of awfulness.\u201d<\/p>\n
During an appearance on Poehler\u2019s Good Hang podcast in August, the Honey Don\u2019t! star explained that, while she was doing her best to copy with each day as it came, processing the loss of her husband was a \u201cdaily struggle.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cOverall, I\u2019m here and I\u2019m functioning. I feel really grateful to be moving through the world. I think I\u2019m OK, but it\u2019s like a daily struggle, obviously,\u201d she admitted.<\/p>\n

Picture: Realtor<\/p>\n The former Parks and Recreation star first started dating Baena in 2011 and revealed in May 2021 that they had secretly wed after referring to him as her \u201cdarling husband\u201d in an Instagram post.<\/p>\n Plaza and Baena \u2014 a writer and director \u2014 purchased their home together in October 2022, paying $US4.7 million ($A7.1 million) for the Los Feliz property.<\/p>\n Records show that the property was purchased via a trust managed by an accounting firm located in the same office as Plaza\u2019s production company, Evil Hag Productions.<\/p>\n The dwelling, which features four bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms, was built in 1928 and appears to have been purchased off market, according to Realtor. <\/p>\n The dwelling, which features four bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms, was built in 1928. Picture: Realtor<\/p>\n Attempting to explain her grieving process, Plaza referenced the 2025 movie, The Gorge, starring Miles Teller and Anya-Taylor Joy, which features a remote crevasse filled with monsters \u2014 with guard posts stationed on either side to protect their respective territories from the horrors within.<\/p>\n Plaza admitted that while it might seem like a strange analogy, the set up of the sci-fi thriller felt much like her grief.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is a really dumb analogy and it was kind of a joke at a certain point, but I actually mean it. Did you see that movie The Gorge? Plaza asked. \u201cIt\u2019s like [an] alien movie or something with Miles Teller.<\/p>\n \u201cIn the movie, there\u2019s like a cliff on one side and there\u2019s a cliff on the other side, then there\u2019s gorge in between and it\u2019s filled with all these like monster people that are trying to get them. I swear when I watched it, I was like that feels like what my grief is like \u2026 or what grief could be like.\u201d<\/p>\n The on-screen starlet explained that, no matter how she is feeling in a specific moment, her grief is always lingering \u2014 regardless of whether she wants to fully lean in to it, or escape it altogether.<\/p>\n \u201cAt all times, there\u2019s like a giant ocean of awfulness, that\u2019s like right there and I can see it,\u201d she said. <\/p>\n \u201cSometimes I just want to dive into it, and just like be in it. Then sometimes I just look at it, and sometimes I try to get away from it.
