\u201cMy memory has become nicely selective; there is a lot I don\u2019t remember, but I remember a lot about \u2018Salaam Namaste.\u2019 There was something very new and energetic about the time and the vibe on set that we got on the film,\u201d said Saif before adding, \u201cI\u2019m very proud of the film. Like a lot of work I did, it was a bit ahead of its time!! I don\u2019t think it was a widely accepted idea ( live-in relationships). But it was a film full of banter and fun.\u201dIn addition to the storyline and performances, the movie is loved for its locations. Shot in Australia, the film captured the natural beauty at its best. Speaking about the same, Saif shared, \u201cThe locations were beautiful. I still remember walking and jogging on a winter beach. It was freezing, and we were in the water shooting like it was summer, and listening to \u2018California Dreamin\u2019.\u201d \u201cWe shot all over Melbourne. We stayed in rented apartments. We were cooking for ourselves a lot of the time. Super fun,\u201d recalled the actor.<\/p>\n

Saif and Preity\u2019s chemistry in the movie hit different. Their personal camaraderie translated well on the big screen. \u201cP.Z. and I have done lots of work and shows, and I adore her,\u201d said Saif, highlighting their bond. \u201cShe attended my wedding, and we go way back. We don\u2019t see each other as much as I would like, but I\u2019m very fond of her and her husband. She is an indelible part of my career and life in films, and I do smile and laugh when I think of her,\u201d quoted the actor.<\/p>\n

Last but not least, the conversation ended with the actor sharing his personal opinion on the whole concept of live-in relationships. He said, \u201cI think people should be free to do what they want. But I understand some parts of the world are more old-fashioned and traditional than others. So it all depends.\u201d<\/p>\n
