{"id":130090,"date":"2025-09-09T11:29:11","date_gmt":"2025-09-09T11:29:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/130090\/"},"modified":"2025-09-09T11:29:11","modified_gmt":"2025-09-09T11:29:11","slug":"nbas-naz-reids-sister-toraya-dies-at-age-28-after-being-shot-in-new-jersey","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/130090\/","title":{"rendered":"NBA&#8217;s Naz Reid&#8217;s Sister Toraya Dies at Age 28 After Being Shot in New Jersey"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium css-1vqr2el\">Toraya Reid, who was the sister of Minnesota Timberwolves big man Naz Reid, died at the age of 28 after she was shot in New Jersey.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium css-1vqr2el\"><a class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-inherit MuiLink-root MuiLink-underlineAlways MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__ui__link__medium_strong css-lu48cp\" href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/nba-naz-reid-sister-shot-new-jersey-8f99c2586d9ac4f6b8d0184974b6ba2a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Bruce Shipkowski<\/a> of the Associated Press reported Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said Monday that police went to an apartment complex on Saturday morning after receiving reports of shots fired.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium css-1vqr2el\">They found Reid unresponsive and took Shaquille Green into custody when he was seen running down the road.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium css-1vqr2el\">Billhimer said Green and Reid had &#8220;a dating relationship.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium css-1vqr2el\">Green was charged with murder and two weapons charges and remained jailed Monday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium css-1vqr2el\">Naz Reid has been with the Timberwolves his entire NBA career.
