Alongside core members Derek Smalls and Nigel Tufnel, the legendary rockers were joined by Tal Wilkenfeld and Thundercat, bringing the total number of bassists on stage to a cool four.<\/p>\n<p>Rounding out Spinal Tap\u2019s lineup for the evening were singer David St. Hubbins, C.J. Vanston, and the band\u2019s brand-new drummer, DD Crockett \u2014 who, I\u2019m happy to report, made it through the performance unscathed.<\/p>\n<p>Spinal Tap, alongside filmmaker Marty DiBergi, also joined Kimmel to talk about their new <a href=\"https:\/\/consequence.net\/2025\/07\/spinal-tap-ii-the-end-continues-trailer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">documentary film<\/a> (which hits theaters this Friday), the<a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/40Aqeyk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\"> companion book<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/4me4D6Y\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">soundtrack<\/a>, what they enjoyed most about collaborating with Paul McCartney, Elton John, and Garth Brooks (\u201cit meant three songs we didn\u2019t have to do\u201d), what their streaming today (Bing Crosby, Cardi B), their backstage tour riders which includes four different types of orange juice, and why they\u2019re not allowed into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and more.<\/p>\n<p>Related Video<\/p>\n<p>Spinal Tap II: The End Continues opens in theaters on September 12th.
