The View<\/a> returned for its 29th season on Monday (September 8), debuting a brand-new title sequence that has caused mixed reactions among fans.<\/p>\n

The intro features black-and-white still images of hosts Whoopi Goldberg<\/a>, Joy Behar<\/a>, Sunny Hostin<\/a>, Sara Haines<\/a>, Ana Navarro<\/a>, and Alyssa Farah Griffin<\/a>, while a voice-over introduces them and Leona Lewis<\/a>\u2018 \u2018This Version\u2019 plays in the background.<\/p>\n

This marks a notable shift from the Season 28 intro<\/a>, which featured a green and gold theme and combined still images with video clips of the hosts from an official photoshoot.<\/p>\n

Fans took to social media to share their reactions to the new intro, with one user on The View Reddit forum<\/a> saying, \u201c[It] feels very \u201cin memoriam\u201d eeek.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou said it not me\u2026.!\u201d replied another, clearly thinking along the same lines.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey should\u2019ve just used the intro from last season,\u201d said another.<\/p>\n

Another wrote, \u201cIt seems like it\u2019s temporary or something. Like someone this morning was like oh crap we forgot to put together a new intro, throw this up there.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think they did a big photo shoot this year so they probably used photos they already had,\u201d shared one user.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a very cut and paste intro for Season 29. Gotta save money somewhere, I guess,\u201d wrote another.<\/p>\n

However, others were more favorable, with one commenter writing, \u201cI like how it\u2019s been shortened, gets us to the show faster. The old intros were long for every day.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIts an interesting choice. Hate Sunnys though, its so different from the others,\u201d wrote one fan, noting how in Hostin\u2019s shot, she is facing away from the camera.<\/p>\n

\u201cTruly! why can we not see [Hostin\u2019s] face???\u201d replied another user.<\/p>\n

In a recent teaser for Season 29<\/a>, Goldberg said, \u201cThis is why you should always keep coming back to The View, because you never know what\u2019s going to happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

Guests announced for upcoming episodes include Emma Heming Willis<\/a>, America Ferrera<\/a>, Matthew McConaughey<\/a>, Marlon Wayans<\/a>, Robin Wright<\/a>, Lily James<\/a>, Priscilla Presley<\/a>, Regina Hall<\/a>, Gloria Estefan<\/a>, Tim Allen<\/a>, Glen Powell<\/a>, and Eli Manning<\/a>.<\/p>\n
