It continues Al\u2019s tradition of providing fun music shows for boxing fans leading up to big boxing matches in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n<p>Al Bernstein said: \u201cLayla is an icon in women\u2019s boxing and I\u2019ve been thinking of some way to further acknowledge her achievements. Having her as an honored guest at this show seemed appropriate. I\u2019ll interview her on stage and boxing fans there can can interact with her and see a great champion in an informal and fun setting. She often comes to my music shows as an audience member so this time we can honor her presence and her many achievements.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The show will feature Al performing music of many genres including great American songbook blues and country tunes. There will also be a boxing trivia segment where audience members can win prizes. Talented Las Vegas singer Joe Dinunzio will be the special music guest. Kenny Davidsen is musical director for the event. There are shows at 8 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. There is no cover charge.<\/p>\n<p>In other news:<\/p>\n<p>*Al Bernstein\u2019s next boxing announcing assignment will be Friday, September 19 when he announces the next edition of the Big Time USA Boxing series on DAZN. The main event, at the Fox Theater in Detroit, features a heavyweight battle between Brandon Moore and DeAndre Savage with the co-main event a WBC\/WBA unififed middleweight title match between Kaye Scott and Olivia Curry. Al will be calling the action with play by play broadcasrer Corey Erdman and Raul Marquez, former junior middleweight champion.
