A supermarket staple and cult favourite has been slammed by a health expert, with the doctor warning people to \u201cabsolutely never, ever\u201d eat the popular product.<\/p>\n

US health expert Dr Daniel Pompa has gone in on a weekly must for many shoppers in a video posted to social media<\/a> that has blown up, gaining 185,000 views in three days.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m going to tell you what never to eat when you come to (grocery stores), rotisserie chicken,\u201d he said online.<\/p>\n

\u201cFilthy, absolutely never ever.\u201d<\/p>\n

The doctor, with a Chiropractic degree and is a expert in cellular health, went in on the bachelor\u2019s handbag and resoundingly swore off ever eating an item that many consider a quick and easy source of protein.<\/p>\n

He went on to explain his disdain for the food<\/a> that is quick to fly off shelves in Australia.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey sell it on no preservatives, no artificial flavours, no artificial colours – but you have to understand non-organic chicken, don\u2019t ever eat it,\u201d he said boldly in a grocery store while pointing at a row of ready to eat chickens.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey put it hot, in plastic, under hot lights.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would argue there\u2019s bad oils in there and all other kinds of bad things – but you put that plastic, and that chicken, under those lights – absolutely never, ever eat rotisserie chicken.\u201d<\/p>\n

For many, the appropriately name bachelor\u2019s handbag is a quick solution for a meal, with a viewer saying \u201c(If) I\u2019m on a time crunch, I\u2019m definitely buying the chicken.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Dr Pompa has built a large following online, with many taking his words as gospel – this was one take that viewers were quick to push back on in the comments.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t care, I\u2019m still gonna eat it,\u201d a commentor said.<\/p>\n

\u201cSorry, I like my rotisserie chicken,\u201d another wrote.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have been here for 63 years, been doing that chicken for 45 years… I\u2019m still here, I\u2019m healthy….,\u201d a third said of their passion for the staple.<\/p>\n

One sharp viewer rebutted the experts argument, saying \u201call chicken, even organic comes in plastic containers wrapped in plastic.\u201d<\/p>\n
