Selena Gomez<\/a> has revealed she suffers from arthritis, due to having lupus.<\/a><\/p>\n

The Love You Like a Love Song singer, 33, appeared on the Good Hang with Amy Poehler<\/a> podcast when she opened up about her health.<\/p>\n

Gomez, who recently celebrated her bachelorette weekend ahead of marrying musician Benny Blanco<\/a>, 37, \ufeffsaid she has arthritis in her fingers and even found it hard to open a water bottle, a struggle many people can no doubt relate to.<\/p>\n

She made the revelation when talking about the packaging for her beauty and makeup brand, Rare Beauty.<\/p>\n

\ufeff”So I have a few medical things. But, I have arthritis in my fingers, and that’s due to my lupus,” she said on the podcast.<\/p>\n

“So I remember before the brand, I was trying to open a water bottle and it hurt really bad before I was on the right medication.”<\/p>\n

“And we somehow inherently made the products easy to open, and then we realised, wait \u2013 they kind of have to be that way.”<\/p>\n

She said she was mindful of the packaging she used for her brand.<\/p>\n

“And then we started to make every product with the intention of [working for] anybody who [has] dexterity problems.”<\/p>\n

Amid her battle with lupus, Gomez had a kidney transplant back in 2017.\ufeff She was diagnosed with lupus in 2013.<\/p>\n

Lupus \ufeffis an autoimmune disease. According to the Mayo Clinic<\/a>, it “is a disease that occurs when your body’s immune system attacks your own tissues and organs”.<\/p>\n

She has just celebrated her bachelorette weekend, ahead of marrying Benny Blanco.<\/p>\n

Gomez shared a series of fun snaps from the beachside getaway on Instagram<\/a> with her 417 million followers.\ufeff<\/p>\n

In one picture, she wears an embellished white backless minidress and poses with a veil that says “bride-to-be” on it.<\/p>\n

In December, Gomez announced her engagement to Blanco, whose real name is Benjamin Joseph Levin.<\/p>\n

“Forever begins now,” she wrote at the time, showing off her stunning diamond ring.<\/p>\n
