NASCAR driver reveals \u2018legitimate\u2019 Supercars career crossroads<\/a><\/p>\n<\/p>\nCindric admits a need to right-foot brake in the Gen3 Mustang will take some adjustment but is confident it won\u2019t hold him back.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe last time I\u2019ve been in a race in right-foot brake is probably when I was 16 years old, so I have the skillset, it\u2019s just not something I\u2019ve needed to use or wanted to apply,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut I feel like with this Gen3 car, from everyone I\u2019ve talked to so far, it\u2019s kind of a must with how clunky the transaxle seems to be on downshifts.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a decision I\u2019m going to have to come to, but there\u2019s that many guys that are left-foot brakers that have had to transition as well.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s something I can confidently say I\u2019ll be able to figure out and it\u2019s not what\u2019s limiting me from going out and running well and having a good time.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut it should be a fun challenge.\u201d<\/p>\n
Cindric\u2019s Tickford test program is expected to include running at multiple circuits between the Cup Series finale on November 2 and the November 27-30 Adelaide event.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt should be a really cool adventure. I\u2019m pretty much spending a month down there after the season\u2019s over,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s something I\u2019ve been wanting to do for a very long time. I\u2019ve done the Bathurst 12 Hour twice and done some testing down there, kind of a lifetime ago, almost 10 years ago.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve stayed in touch with a lot of those contacts but through my connections with Ford and getting together with Tickford.<\/p>\n
\u201cObviously it\u2019s a great team, great car, great teammates, and one of their coolest events of their year in Adelaide.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s one of their hardest tracks on the schedule, next to Bathurst\u2026 it should be really cool, though.<\/p>\n
\u201cAdelaide is an old F1 circuit, there\u2019s a ton of history there and Australian race fans are super passionate about V8 Supercar racing.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tickford will run Cindric\u2019s wildcard alongside its two full-time Supercars Championship entries and four Super2 Series machines.<\/p>\n
