Nicole Kidman<\/a>‘s niece Lucia Hawley<\/a> has revealed she is unemployed after making the ‘risky’ move to live in London<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The\u00a026-year-old gave up her role as host of 7Bravo in Australia and relocated overseas last month.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In her\u00a0latest\u00a0Substack<\/a>\u00a0blog, she spoke about the challenges of starting afresh in a new country without a job.<\/p>\n

‘On June 18, I officially made the move to London.\u00a0On paper, this is a totally stupid decision, and honestly, frightens me (someone hire me pls),’ she wrote.<\/p>\n

‘I am risk-averse, which means my body quite literally rejects the idea of both moving overseas being unemployed.’<\/p>\n

Lucia revealed she found it ‘traumatic’ to say goodbye to her boyfriend Henry and younger siblings.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘Saying goodbye to Henry was incredibly difficult (I am traumatised by airport goodbyes). Even harder were the goodbyes to my family – I kissed my little brothers through floods of tears,’ she added.<\/p>\n

The presenter finished by saying while it was a hard decision to make, she knew it was ultimately for the best.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘It is exciting and freeing and kind of what life is all about.\u00a0I believe home to be a feeling… Having a strong network of people who support you is what truly enables you to navigate the world with confidence and self-assurance,’ she wrote.<\/a><\/p>\n

In December, Channel Seven announced that former Bachelor star Bella Varelis<\/a> would be the new host of 7Bravo, following Lucia’s resignation.<\/p>\n

Bella, who was runner-up on Locky Gilbert’s season of The Bachelor<\/a>, became the channel’s new local host and the face of Live From E! red carpet events in Australia.<\/p>\n

Channel Seven said ‘Lucia is departing the role at the end of this year to explore other opportunities’ after two years.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Lucia is the eldest child of Nicole Kidman’s sister Antonia and her ex-husband Angus.<\/a><\/p>\n

She started her TV career after\u00a0studying Arts at the elite University of Sydney.<\/p>\n

Following her degree and internship at Vogue Australia, she started working at a production company as an assistant and later applied for a job at 9Honey \u2014 Channel Nine’s women’s network.<\/p>\n

She eventually landed a role with\u00a0NBC Universal – who launched\u00a07Bravo in 2022.<\/p>\n
