Over the July 18\u201320 weekend, the film took in $37.3 million from 3,843,613 admissions. Including Monday\u2019s Marine Day holiday, the four-day total reached $49.4 million from 5,164,348 tickets sold \u2013 also a new national record.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tDirected by Sotozaki Haruo and produced by ufotable, \u201cInfinity Castle\u201d adapts the climactic final arc of Gotouge Koyoharu\u2019s blockbuster manga. Returning voice cast members include Hanae Natsuki, Kit\u014d Akari, Shimono Hiro, and Matsuoka Yoshitsugu. The film follows the Demon Slayer Corps\u2019 all-out assault on Kibutsuji Muzan\u2019s stronghold in a bid to end the war between humans and demons.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe film also set a new benchmark for Imax in Japan, grossing $3 million from 59 Imax screens during the Friday\u2013Sunday frame \u2013 a new record for the format in the country. By the end of the four-day holiday, Imax takings had reached $3.5 million, with a per-screen average of $48,000. \u201cInfinity Castle\u201d will begin rolling out in North America and international territories from Sept. 12, via Toho, Aniplex and Crunchyroll.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tHolding steady at No. 2, Aniplex\u2019s \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/kokuho\/\" id=\"auto-tag_kokuho\" data-tag=\"kokuho\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kokuho<\/a>\u201d continues its robust theatrical run. After 46 days in release, the film has grossed $44.9 million from 4,721,319 admissions. It dropped just 15% from the previous weekend \u2013 a rare feat for a prestige drama.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tDirected by Lee Sang-il and based on Yoshida Shuichi\u2019s novel, \u201cKokuho\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2025\/film\/news\/ken-watanabe-lee-sang-il-kabuki-drama-kokuho-cannes-1236402305\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">premiered at Cannes Directors\u2019 Fortnight in May. <\/a>The film stars Yoshizawa Ryo as Kikuo, the son of a yakuza who is adopted by legendary kabuki master Watanabe Ken (as Hanai Hanjiro II).
