Formula 1 team Visa Cash App Racing Bulls (VCARB) has turned to Airtasker to find a designer who will create a custom helmet for the team\u2019s pit crew.<\/p>\n
Airtasker serves as a major sponsor for the midfield team, which currently sits in seventh position in the Constructor\u2019s Championship, just below Aston Martin.<\/p>\n
The Sydney-based tech giant provides an online and mobile marketplace that enables users to outsource everyday tasks from household repairs to building flat pack furniture.<\/p>\n
VCARB drivers Isack Hadjar and Liam Lawson will judge the submitted designs for the official team helmet which will be worn at the end of the current season.<\/p>\n
Hadjar, who recently celebrated his first podium finish at the Dutch Grand Prix, encouraged would-be applicants to go \u201cbold\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want it to be big, bold, and badass,\u201d he said. \u00a0<\/p>\n
The task is being hailed as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for fans and creative minds like to design an official F1 helmet.<\/p>\n
Lawson, 23, who was briefly promoted to sister team Red Bull before being switched back into VCARB earlier this year, says the competition is a chance to create something \u201clegendary\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe pit crew has been crushing it, and we want to find someone who can design a special edition helmet for them,\u201d Lawson said in a statement.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey’re the heartbeat of everything we do, so we want to create something as legendary as they are.\u201d<\/p>\n
It is understood Liam and Isack will personally review all submissions from Taskers and choose their favourite concept, and the selected Tasker will be assigned to bring their winning idea to life.<\/p>\n
Once completed, the helmets will be unveiled to the pit crew to wear during the 2025 Qatar Grand Prix in December.<\/p>\n
