(EMUEagles.com) <\/p>\n<p>&#8212; <a href=\"https:\/\/emueagles.com\/sports\/womens-tennis\/roster\/coaches\/ryan-kucera\/2103\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"2103\" target=\"_blank\">Ryan Kucera<\/a>, the third-year head coach of the Eastern Michigan University tennis program, announced his team&#8217;s 2025-26 schedule today, Sept. 10, with his Eagles slated to compete in six fall events before embarking on a 24-match dual slate in 2026 that will feature nine home contests at the Chippewa Club in Ypsilanti. The Eagles will open their overall schedule at home Sept. 19-20 with dual matches starting Jan. 17, 2026.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nEastern will open the fall season by playing host to the Block E Invitational, Sept. 19-20, at the Chippewa Club, before heading across the state to Kalamazoo, Oct. 3-5, for the 2025 Mid-American Conference Fall Individual Championships, hosted by Western Michigan University. The Eagles will have players competing in a pair of events Oct. 10-12, including the Toledo Hidden Duals in Toledo, Ohio, and the Michigan Invitational next door in Ann Arbor. One week later, several players will test themselves against some of the best in the Midwest as they will travel to Champaign, Ill., Oct. 16-19, for the ITA Midwest Region Championships. The final event of the fall comes Oct. 31-Nov. 1 with EMU taking part in the Drake Invitational in Des Moines, Iowa, the same town Kucera got his coaching start.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nWhen the calendar turns to 2026, the team&#8217;s focus will turn to dual matches with the Eagles playing host to Cleveland State University, Jan. 17, to open the slate. Two days later, Eastern will head to Big Rapids to take on Ferris State University in a pair of matches before venturing to Youngstown State University, Jan. 23. The month ends with the Eagles hosting Oakland University, Jan. 31.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nFollowing the home dual with the Golden Grizzlies, the Eagles will hit the road for their next six matches, starting with a Feb. 1 trip north to East Lansing to face Michigan State University. Eastern will then play in its second of three doubleheader days, Feb. 6, with a pair of matches in Richmond, Ky., where the Eagles will face host Eastern Kentucky University and play the University of Tennessee Chattanooga the same day. EMU&#8217;s road swing will continue through Kentucky with a Feb. 8 match at Bellarmine University in Louisville before the Eagles take on DePaul University, Feb. 13, in Chicago, and Butler University, Feb. 14, in Indianapolis.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nEastern is back home Feb. 20 for the first of three matches as Bradley University comes to town before the Eagles play their final doubleheader of the season, Feb. 22, when they face both Wayne State University and Tiffin University at the Chippewa Club. With the first two months in the books, Eastern will head to Florida for a Spring Break trip where the Eagles will play at Stetson University in Deland, March 2, and at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, March 4. Those two matches will end the non-conference portion of the schedule.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nJumping into MAC play, the Eagles&#8217; first two matches will come against the teams making changes. First, EMU will play host to Northern Illinois University, March 13, in the Huskies&#8217; final year as a member of the league before traveling to Amherst, Mass., March 15, to take on the MAC&#8217;s newest member, the University of Massachusetts. Following a March 20 road contest at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio, the Eagles are back home for a pair of matches, including March 22 against the University of Toledo and March 27 against the University at Buffalo.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nThe final month of the regular season opens April 3 with the Eagles venturing to Muncie, Ind., to face Ball State University before playing at Miami University, April 12, in Oxford, Ohio, in their final road match of the year. The final match of 2026 will be played at home, April 19, with Western Michigan coming to town for Senior Day.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nWith the dual season finished, the top four teams in the final MAC standings will head to Oxford, Ohio, for the 2026 MAC Championship.
