Thankfully, the Mandurah shopper did \u2014 and it changed her life.<\/p>\n
Having just packed her shopping in the car, she hopped out of the driver\u2019s seat and went into Newsxpress Halls Head to buy a Slikpik 18 Powerball ticket.<\/p>\n
Later, she checked the ticket \u2014 finding to her great surprise that she had won $20 million.<\/p>\n
She then spent the rest of the night regularly waking to check it wasn\u2019t all a dream.<\/p>\n
\u201cI kept waking up in the night thinking I had dreamt it, checked my numbers again and went through the same disbelief,\u201d the winner , aged in her 60s, said.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy eyes were blurry from staring at the ticket so much.\u201d<\/p>\n
The woman is looking forward to buying her own home \u2014 with chickens \u2014 and giving to her favourite charities.<\/p>\n
\u201cI can finally purchase my own home for the first time in my life,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve always dreamt of having a house with a big garden, loads of fruit trees, a veggie patch and chooks!<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd over the years I\u2019ve done lots of volunteering and fostering for dogs\u2019 refuges around Western Australia.<\/p>\n

Lotterywest spokeswoman Zoe Wender said the six-week jackpot run that resulted in the $20 million Powerball win raised more than $15 million for WA community groups.<\/p>\n
