\n\tWarner Bros.\u2019 \u201cSuperman<\/a>\u201d held the No. 1 position at the U.K. and Ireland box office for a second weekend, adding \u00a34.8 million ($6.5 million) and bringing its total to \u00a316.3 million ($22 million), according to Comscore.<\/p>\n

\n\tUniversal\u2019s \u201cJurassic World Rebirth<\/a>\u201d maintained a firm grip on second place, grossing $4.4 million over its third weekend for a cumulative total of $33.5 million. Warner Bros.\u2019 racing drama \u201cF1<\/a>\u201d remained in third, taking $1.7 million and pushing its tally to $24.5 million after four weeks.<\/p>\n

\n\tTwo new titles entered the top five. Paramount\u2019s reboot \u201cSmurfs<\/a>\u201d landed in fourth place with a debut of $1.6 million, while Sony\u2019s slasher revival \u201cI Know What You Did Last Summer\u201d opened fifth with $1.2 million.<\/p>\n

\n\tUniversal\u2019s \u201cHow To Train Your Dragon\u201d continued its strong run in sixth place, earning $910,894 for a total of $27.5 million. Sony\u2019s \u201c28 Years Later\u201d followed in seventh with $591,070, lifting its total to $19 million.<\/p>\n

\n\tDisney\u2019s \u201cElio\u201d placed eighth with $413,876, taking its cume to $5.4 million. Fellow Disney release \u201cLilo & Stitch\u201d held ninth position, grossing $264,436 for a robust total of $49 million.<\/p>\n

\n\tRounding out the top 10 was Yash Raj Films\u2019 \u201cSaiyaara,\u201d which debuted with $261,388. <\/p>\n

\n\tThis week\u2019s major release is Marvel\u2019s \u201cThe Fantastic Four: First Steps,\u201d opening Thursday, July 24. Directed by Matt Shakman, the superhero reboot introduces Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as the new quartet. Distributed by Disney, the film launches in over 300 locations. <\/p>\n

\n\tUniversal\u2019s \u201cThe Bad Guys 2\u201d arrives Friday, July 25, reuniting audiences with the reformed animal outlaws in this animated sequel.<\/p>\n

\n\tOther releases include \u201cZero,\u201d a thriller from Blue Finch Film Releasing, starring Hus Miller and Gary Dourdan, and \u201cDying,\u201d the Berlin-winning German drama from Picturehouse Entertainment.<\/p>\n

\n\tSony unleashes anime title \u201cJujutsu Kaisen: Hidden Inventory \/ Premature Death \u2013 The Movie\u201d in select locations from Wednesday, July 23, while fans of concert cinema can catch \u201cRoger Waters: This Is Not a Drill \u2013 Live From Prague,\u201d from Trafalgar Releasing.<\/p>\n

\n\tAdditional arthouse offerings include Hong Sangsoo\u2019s Korean drama \u201cWhat Does That Nature Say to You?\u201d (ICA Cinema), Cannes-bowing thriller \u201cGazer\u201d from Bulldog Film Distribution, and the 4K restoration of \u201cAmadeus\u201d via Curzon.
