Geelong<\/a> coach Chris Scott has apologised to an AFL staff member for an outburst following last Friday night\u2019s win over Brisbane.<\/p>\n

It was reported on Thursday evening<\/a> that Scott brought the media official to tears during an exchange that took place after his post-match media conference.<\/p>\n

The two-time premiership winning coach was reportedly unhappy with the presence of an accredited media figure during the conference.<\/p>\n

Scott called the female staff member on Wednesday to personally apologise for his actions.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe club acknowledges an interaction that took place post-game last Friday night,\u201d a Geelong spokesperson said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe club confirms Chris called the AFL staff member to personally apologise for the exchange and the apology was accepted.\u201d<\/p>\n

He will not be sanctioned for the incident.<\/p>\n

News of the apology came just hours after star midfielder Bailey Smith apologised to News Corp photographer Alison Wynd for an expletive-laden outburst during training on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Cats CEO Steve Hocking also called Wynd personally to express his remorse on behalf of the club.<\/p>\n

Smith was getting a massage near the boundary line of GMHBA Stadium on Wednesday when the photographer had her lens trained on him.<\/p>\n

Noticing he was the subject of her camera, the 24-year-old stuck the middle finger up to her.<\/p>\n

He then walked towards the grandstand, where Wynd was set up, about 10 rows back from the fence.<\/p>\n

Smith asked the photographer to \u201cstop trying to bait me\u201d, saying his treatment was a \u201cprivate moment\u201d.<\/p>\n

He demanded the photos be deleted.<\/p>\n

When the snapper told Smith she was simply doing her job and had been invited by Geelong to be there, Smith responded with: \u201cYou\u2019re doing a f****** s*** job\u201d.<\/p>\n

7NEWS cameras captured the exchange between the two, after which Smith moved further along the boundary line before doubling back and delivering another spray.<\/p>\n

Wednesday\u2019s incident was also the second time the same photographer has been singled out by Smith this season.<\/p>\n

Wynd said she was \u201crattled\u201d by the incident.<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause he came back at me the second time, I felt a bit rattled by it,\u201d Wynd told News Corp.<\/a><\/p>\n

Smith has previously been verbally aggressive at Wynd, and a female ABC reporter, since arriving at Geelong last off-season from the Western Bulldogs.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s understood there were similar incidents with female reporters when Smith played for the Bulldogs.<\/p>\n
