A cold start to spring has meant the fruit trees in Perth\u2019s Hills have blossomed later and will last longer into spring.<\/p>\n

They are perfect conditions for the much-loved S&R Orchard Blossom Festival, which returned for a 10th year on Friday.<\/p>\n

The festival takes place in S&R Orchard in Walliston, where attendees can come to enjoy the freshly blossomed orchard and, if they feel like it, take a selfie.<\/p>\n

S&R Orchard owner Santino Costanzo said the cool weather meant the blossoms would last longer this year.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe blossoms are great this year but it\u2019s just late as we\u2019ve had cool weather late this year and with the late winter the trees are blossoming later than usual,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe blossoms are later but they\u2019re slowly coming out but the blossom will last longer because it\u2019s mild weather, they\u2019ll stay on the trees longer.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mr Costanzo encouraged people to see the beauty of the blossoms while they could.<\/p>\n

\u201cCome and enjoy the blossoms because it doesn\u2019t last long, it\u2019s only a short time of the whole year,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
