The Australian wool market has opened a calendar year with seven straight positive selling series for the first time since 1979, with the Eastern Market Indicator adding 30 cents overall in Week 10 to close at 1,291c\/kg.<\/p>\n

This is also the longest run of weekly rises since 2019.<\/p>\n

All sectors recorded healthy gains from the outset, reflected in the EMI adding 17 cents for the day (the largest daily rise since March).<\/p>\n

On the second day the market rose again, with all sectors recording gains and lifting the EMI a further . . .<\/p>\n
