The widow of Charlie Kirk has delivered an emotional and defiant speech just days after her husband was assassinated during a campus event in Utah, vowing that the movement he created will not only survive but expand in his absence.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Kirk, a leading conservative commentator\u00a0and co-founder of Turning Point USA, was shot dead while addressing students at Utah Valley University in what authorities described as a politically motivated attack. \u00a0<\/p>\n

The killing shocked the United States, sparking a nationwide manhunt that ended with the arrest of 22-year-old Tyler Robinson.<\/p>\n

Speaking in Phoenix, Erika Kirk thanked law enforcement for capturing the man accused of killing her husband, and praised first responders for their efforts to save him in the immediate aftermath of the shooting. \u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to thank the first responders who struggled heroically to save Charles’s life. And the police who acted bravely to make sure that there were no other victims on that terrible afternoon,\u201d she said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Her remarks quickly turned personal, painting a portrait of a man deeply committed to his family and his faith. \u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cCharlie loved life. He loved America. He loved nature, which helped bring him closer to God,\u201d Ms Kirk said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cHe loved the Chicago Cubs. And my goodness, did he love the Oregon Ducks. But most of all Charlie loved his children. And he loved me with all of his heart. I knew that.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

She told mourners that his private wish, had he ever chosen to run for political office, was to focus on strengthening family life across America. Quoting from scripture, she said: \u201cMy husband laid down his life for me, for our nation, for our children. He showed the ultimate and true covenantal love.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Her speech then shifted to defiance, with words that have already reverberated far beyond the United States, with Ms Kirk claiming that \u201cthe cries of this widow will echo around the world like a battle cry\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThe evildoers responsible for my husband’s assassination have no idea what they have done,\u201d she said. \u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThey killed Charlie because he preached a message of patriotism, faith, and of God’s merciful love. They should all know this. If you thought that my husband’s mission was powerful before, you have no idea. \u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cYou have no idea what you just have unleashed across this entire country. In this world, you have no idea.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ms Kirk pledged to continue the work her husband had started, promising that Turning Point USA\u2019s tours and conferences would go ahead as planned, including the flagship America Fest in December. \u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThe movement my husband built will not die. It won’t. I refuse to let that happen,\u201d she said. \u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cIt will not die. All of us will refuse to let that happen. No one will ever forget my husband’s name, and I will make sure of it. It will become stronger, bolder, louder, and greater than ever.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Her message mixed political resolve with deep religious conviction as she urged those listening to join churches and reminded them that her husband\u2019s fight was not only political but also spiritual. \u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cOur battle is not simply a political one, above all, it is spiritual. The spiritual warfare is palpable. Charlie loved his saviour with all his heart, and he wanted every one of you to know him too,\u201d she claimed.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The widow also shared the painful moment she had to comfort their young daughter in the wake of his death. \u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I got home last night, Gigi, our daughter, just ran into my arms . . . She goes, \u2018where\u2019s daddy?\u2019 She\u2019s three. I said, \u2018baby, daddy loves you so much. Don\u2019t you worry. He\u2019s on a work trip with Jesus\u2019.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cTo everyone listening tonight across America, the movement my husband built will not die.
