England cricket<\/a> has been rocked by a bombshell investigation into a high-profile identity.<\/p>\n

Police say the alleged sexual assault incident occurred in May at a pub in Fulham called The Boundary.<\/p>\n

The pub is co-owned by England coach Brendon McCullum, but McCullum is not accused of any wrongdoing.<\/p>\n

McCullum was not in London on the date of the alleged incident as England was playing Zimbabwe in a Test match in Nottingham.<\/p>\n

\u201cTwo women are believed to have been spiked with one also allegedly sexually assaulted,\u201d police said in a statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cA man in his 40s was interviewed under caution on Thursday, June 5.<\/p>\n

\u201cInquiries remain ongoing and no arrests have been made at this stage.\u201d<\/p>\n

It has been reported that a former England cricketer is at the centre of the police investigations.<\/p>\n

England cricketer and former T20 captain Jos Buttler is one of several high-profile sports star who co-owns The Boundary with McCullum.<\/p>\n

Other former cricketers who are reportedly shareholders in the pub include Eoin Morgan, Sam Billings, former South Africa captain Graeme Smith and Ireland cricketer Paul Stirling.<\/p>\n

England union star Jamie George is another well-known figure connected to the hotel.<\/p>\n

None of the owners have been accused of anything.<\/p>\n

The England and Wales Cricket Board is yet to comment but it has been reported that the board is very aware of the police probe.<\/p>\n

The first Test will be played from November 21-25 at Optus Stadium in Perth.<\/p>\n
