Comedy about grunts trying to survive in Ken-Oh’s army after apocalypse<\/p>\n

The streamed \u201cIt\u02bcs Fist of the North Star<\/a> Day! Gather Around, All Four Brothers!!\u201d special announced on Saturday that Hiroshi Kurao<\/a>‘s Fist of the North Star: Elegy of Ken-Oh’s Army Grunts (Hokuto no Ken: Ken’\u014d-gun Zako-tachi no Banka<\/a>) spinoff manga is also inspiring a short anime. The short anime will air and stream in January 2026.<\/p>\n

The comedy has a tagline, “Three daily meals included, company room and board, no experience necessary!” In the year 199X after the nuclear apocalypse, our protagonist Nobu finds work as just another grunt in Ken-Oh’s army. Nobu learns how long he can last in a workplace where deaths outnumber even the job applicants. <\/p>\n

The manga launched on Coamix<\/a>‘s Manga Hot app in November 2017, and ended<\/a> in February 2020. The manga’s third and final compiled book volume shipped in March 2020.<\/p>\n

Buronson<\/a> and Tetsuo Hara<\/a>‘s original landmark manga Fist of the North Star (Hokuto no Ken) is also inspiring a new anime<\/a> next year.<\/p>\n
