\n SAN FRANCISCO (Kyodo) — Yoshinobu Yamamoto saw another one-hit gem rewarded with a no-decision as the Los Angeles Dodgers were walked off 5-1 by the San Francisco Giants in 10 innings on Friday.
\n<\/p>\n
\n The right-hander allowed his only walk and hit of the game, a Willy Adames RBI double, with one out in the first inning before retiring his next 20 straight batter at Oracle Park.
\n<\/p>\n
\n He struck out 10 over seven innings in a 91-pitch effort and left the game at 1-1 after Michael Confoto’s solo home run tied it for the Dodgers in the top of the seventh.
\n<\/p>\n
\n But Yamamoto’s big contribution once again did not result in a win as Patrick Bailey’s grand slam for the Giants ended the Dodgers’ four-game winning run.
\n<\/p>\n
\n In his last outing on Sept. 6, Yamamoto had seen his no-hitter bid end with two outs in the ninth as the Dodgers fell to a shock 4-3 walk-off defeat against the Baltimore Orioles.
\n<\/p>\n
\n “My condition was really good. I’m managing to head into the game with a proper plan,” Yamamoto said. “I believe I have about two more starts (in the regular season). I’ll be keeping myself on my toes until the end before entering October (for the postseason).”
\n<\/p>\n
\n Yusei Kikuchi threw six innings of one-run ball on four hits but did not get a decision as the Los Angeles Angels lost to the Seattle Mariners 2-1.
