The “Oshi no Ko Kant\u014d N\u014dry\u014d Matsuri” event on Sunday revealed the second teaser visual, two more cast members, and January 2026 premiere for the third<\/a> season of the Oshi no Ko<\/a> anime. The event also revealed a commemorative video for the release of the second teaser visual, which features the new cast members and their characters.<\/p>\n

Sunday’s event also announced the anime’s first virtual live event titled “B Komachi Live Tour\u30fc2026 -Beyond the Brilliance VirtualLive-,” which will kick off on April 25 and 26, 2026, and will continue for a total of 12 performances in Aichi, Osaka and Tokyo. <\/p>\n

Also announced on Sunday, the franchise<\/a>‘s first official puzzle game<\/a> will launch<\/a> in 2026. <\/p>\n

The anime’s second season premiered in July 2024 on Tokyo MX<\/a> and over 29 other channels throughout Japan. HIDIVE<\/a> streamed the anime as it ared and also streams<\/a> the anime’s English dub<\/a>. The second season’s story focused on a 2.5D stage play titled “Tokyo Blade.”<\/p>\n

The first television anime<\/a> of Aka Akasaka<\/a> and Mengo Yokoyari<\/a>‘s Oshi no Ko manga premiered<\/a> in Japan in April 2023 with a 90-minute first episode. HIDIVE streamed<\/a> the anime as it aired in Japan, and it is also streaming<\/a> an English dub. The company stated<\/a> that the anime became the streaming service’s “#1 series launch in the streamer’s history.”<\/p>\n

Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War<\/a>) and Mengo Yokoyari (Scum’s Wish<\/a>) launched<\/a> the manga in Shueisha<\/a>‘s Weekly Young Jump<\/a> magazine in April 2020, and ended<\/a> it in November 2024. The manga’s 16th and final compiled book volume shipped in Japan on December 18. Shueisha’s MANGA Plus<\/a> service released<\/a> the manga in English digitally. <\/p>\n

Yen Press<\/a> licensed<\/a> the manga, and it describes the story:\n<\/p>\n

\tGorou is a gynecologist and idol fan who’s in shock after his favorite star, Ai, announces an impromptu hiatus. Little does Gorou realize that he’s about to forge a bond with her that defies all common sense! Lies are an idol’s greatest weapon in this outrageous manga from Aka Akasaka (Kaguya-sama: Love is War) and Mengo Yokoyari (Scum’s Wish).<\/p>\n

The manga also inspired<\/a> a live-action film and television series adaptation. The series debuted<\/a> on Amazon Prime Video<\/a> worldwide on November 28 with eight episodes, and the sequel film then premiered after the series in theaters on December 20.<\/p>\n

A stage play adaptation<\/a> of the manga’s “2.5D Stage Play arc” ran at the Umeda Arts Theater in Osaka from December 26-29.<\/p>\n
