The Broncos are through to a preliminary final in a fortnight, but there\u2019s a chance they could be without superstars Pat Carrigan and Reece Walsh after the pair were sin binned in the epic win over Canberra. <\/a><\/p>\n

During a frenzied four minute period in the second half, Walsh and then Carrigan were sent to the bin for separate incidents, Walsh for a headbutt on Hudson Young and Carrigan a shoulder charge. <\/p>\n

Walsh and Carrigan are expected to be on the match review committee\u2019s charge sheet on Monday morning and could face suspensions.<\/p>\n

Broncos coach Michael Maguire was asked the Walsh incident and if the fullback has anything to worry about. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019d have to have a look at it. They were at each other and it was probably more just conversation,\u201d Maguire said on Walsh\u2019s interaction with Young.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know if it\u2019s a headbutt. They sort of came together. <\/p>\n

\u201cThere was emotion out there and they probably both got sent for a reason so you move on.\u201d<\/p>\n

Two minutes after Walsh was binned, Carrigan was given his marching orders on the suspect tackle which left Raiders forward Morgan Smithies bleeding from the mouth.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s finals time. Every moment counts. It\u2019s fast and quick,\u201d Maguire said on that incident.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo be honest I thought I had a head clash. I haven\u2019t seen the angle of it but we\u2019ll have to wait and see,\u201d Carrigan added. <\/p>\n

Walsh copped it from the Raiders faithful as he left the ground after being binned. <\/p>\n

Not one to shy away, Walsh returned the favour with a middle finger to the GIO Stadium crowd. <\/p>\n

Walsh clearly came out with a point to prove when his ten minutes ended, producing a stunning 20 minute period to lead the Broncos out of a 28-12 hole.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had to come out with something because being sent for 10 in a final, I\u2019m disappointined in myself so I\u2019m glad it went our way,\u201d Walsh said.<\/p>\n

His coach credited the fullback\u2019s ability to turn around after the sin bin and play such a crucial role in the stunning comeback win.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis maturity and what I\u2019ve seen he\u2019s been working towards.
