American Terence Crawford has produced a stunning upset win over Canelo Alvarez in a bout labelled \u2018the fight of the century\u2019.<\/p>\n

The undefeated Crawford improves his record to 42-0 and becomes the first male boxer to every become an undisputed champion in three different categories.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe know what we just saw. Bud Crawford just beat Canelo Alvarez. Let\u2019s see if the judges agree,\u201d boxing commentator Max Kellerman said immediately following the fight\u2019s conclusion<\/p>\n

After previously claiming all four belts on offer at the super lightweight and welterweight divisions, Crawford collected the super middleweight world title after defeating Alvarez by unanimous decision in a fight that went the distance. <\/p>\n

All three judges awarded the fight to Crawford with the scores 116-112, 115-113 and 115-113.<\/p>\n

If anything those cards were generous to Canelo.<\/p>\n

\u201cCanelo is a great champion. I have nothing but respect for him. I\u2019m a big fan of him and he fought a great fight tonight,\u201d Crawford said in the ring post-fight. <\/p>\n

\u201cCongratulations. You are the GOAT of this era,\u201d Kellerman told Crawford. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m a winner for coming here. There\u2019s no defeat here,\u201d Alvarez said in his post-fight interview.<\/p>\n
