Reece Walsh delivered a cheeky answer when asked what caused him to headbutt Hudson Young during the fiery clash between the Broncos and Raiders that ended in a golden point thriller.<\/a><\/p>\n

The superstar fullback was sent to the sin bin along with Young after he appeared to headbutt the Raiders enforcer, who baited him after an error in the second half. <\/p>\n

Fox League\u2019s Bryan Fletcher pressed Walsh after the game on what was said to spark his reaction.<\/p>\n

\u201cI need to know did Hudson mention anything about the toilet water incident?\u201d Fletcher asked Walsh.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe called me a weak-gutted dog, so yeah it was a good battle out there and he is a top player and I love watching him play,\u201d Walsh said with a cheeky smile. <\/p>\n

Walsh knew he had to inspire his team when he returned from the bin and felt he let his teammates down as the Raiders scored two tries to make it 28-12 while he was off the field. <\/p>\n

\u201cOh mate I had to come up with something because being bloody sent for 10 in a final, I was disappointed with myself,\u201d Walsh told Fox League.<\/p>\n

While Walsh set up the win, Ben Hunt iced it with a match-winning field goal that sparked wild celebrations on the field and in the coaches box.<\/p>\n

But the halfback revealed he thought he went off too early with the celebrations. <\/p>\n

\u201cI hit it sweet and I thought I had it, started to put my hands up and then it started drifting right and when it hit the post I wasn\u2019t sure, so just glad it snuck in.\u201d <\/p>\n

Walsh had been the go-to option for the field goals during the pulsating clash but saw a couple of attempts charged down. It led to a change of plan that put the ball in Hunt\u2019s hands at the decisive moment.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe had a couple of shots before that and they were getting pretty hot on him, so we talked about if we get a chance I will have a go,\u201d Hunt said. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe young fella honestly got us back in the game tonight. Without him we don\u2019t get that to extra time. He was pretty special.\u201d <\/p>\n

Hunt was then asked whether he gave the Broncos a chance from 16 points down in the last quarter of the game. <\/p>\n

\u201cHonestly at the start of the year I wouldn\u2019t have thought so, but the way we have been playing the last couple of months, I knew we had some points in us if we could just get it together,\u201d Hunt said. <\/p>\n

\u201cOnce we got in control we can get a couple and to get it to extra time I thought it was a special effort. <\/p>\n

\u201cA couple of things went our way and it was kind of like we were just meant to get it done.\u201d <\/p>\n

And as for what the Broncos will do with the week off?<\/p>\n
