Documents from the NT Land Titles Office show the value of Murranji \u2014 just the land, not the cattle \u2014 has quadrupled since 2020.<\/p>\n

(Supplied: RuralCo Property)<\/p>\n Property agent Andy Gray said the rise in value was a sign of a strong property market and the “significant” capital improvements made by the previous owners.<\/p>\n He said over the past five years the Pickersgill family had invested heavily in more watering points, more paddocks and seven new sets of yards.<\/p>\n “It’s an efficient operation that’s currently carrying 20,000 head of cattle and I’d imagine you could extend that by improving the southern portion of the property,” he told ABC Rural.<\/p>\n Mr Gray said the station attracted a lot of interest from domestic buyers and there were no bids from international interests.<\/p>\n “One of the strengths of Murranji is that it’s an organic herd largely, and organic beef attracts a premium,” he said.<\/p>\n “The purchaser will be using this property as a calf-factory.” The previous owners made significant capital improvements at Murranji Station. (Supplied: RuralCo)<\/p>\n String of recent sales and more to come<\/p>\n Mr Gray said the northern cattle property market was “very strong”, with recent sales including Woolner<\/a> and Dorisvale<\/a>.<\/p>\n He said the Pickersgill family was also looking to sell Neutral Junction Station, south of Tennant Creek, in the NT.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
