Haque’s lawyer Jack Hudson said he had been watching TikTok videos of pranks and in collaboration with a friend who worked at Hungry Jacks, decided to do something similar.<\/p>\n

“A very poor attempt at humour,” Mr Hudson said, which was “down to his immaturity.”<\/p>\n
The Perth Magistrates Court heard on the first occasion, in mid-April, Haque used a code to get into Hungry Jacks using the staff door and sprayed fart gas in the food preparation area.<\/p>\n
Later that month, he went back to the same restaurant, jumped the counter and sprayed fart gas in the staff area before the manager asked him to leave.<\/p>\n
That night, he went to Baskin Robbins in Southern River, where he again jumped a counter and sprayed gas.<\/p>\n

While no food at the ice cream store was contaminated, some was disposed of as a precaution.<\/p>\n
The next day, he targeted the Redcliffe Hungry Jacks for a third time.<\/p>\n
The court heard that Haque was disguised in every case and most of the workers at the locations were under 18.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The amateur mixed martial arts fighter had pleaded guilty to 15 charges including assault, damaging property and trespass.<\/p>\n
Prank in poor taste<\/p>\n
While the assault charges related to the workers, nobody was actually injured.<\/p>\n
Magistrate Andrew Matthews accepted Haque was remorseful, had prior good character and was prepared to do community service.<\/p>\n

But he said his actions were in poor taste.<\/p>\n
“Just because you see something on TikTok doesn’t mean it’s funny to everyone,” he said.<\/p>\n
