\u201cBec will be at her wits end with this latest round of drama\u2026 she is almost always the one who smooths the waters when her family ends up back in the headlines for all the wrong reasons,\u201d the insider told Woman\u2019s Day.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe knows her husband better than anyone and while Lleyton fought the claims, she would be telling him to cop the punishment on the chin, and get on with it.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe real fear here is that Bec would be genuinely concerned Tennis Australia could now review Lleyton\u2019s role with our Davis Cup team \u2014 they\u2019re a young and impressionable group of players who all look to Lleyton as a role model,\u201d the source added.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf, in fact, his job as coach is in jeopardy, that\u2019s the sort of stuff that really upsets Bec\u2026 when her husband\u2019s integrity is questioned\u2026 because she knows what a good man he really is. She\u2019ll stand by him as she usually does.\u201d<\/p>\n

The independent tribunal has suggested that $10,000 of the fine should be passed on to the volunteer \u201cin compensation for the stress, discomfort and embarrassment of the incident\u201d.<\/p>\n
Despite the suspension \u2013 and Bec\u2019s fears \u2013 the 44-year-old is still allowed to captain Australia at this weekend\u2019s Davis Cup in Sydney.<\/p>\n
The ITIA initially pushed for a four-week suspension and a $37,500 fine, noting that \u201cthere was no apology or check on the well-being of the chaperone\u201d. <\/p>\n
The tribunal also pointed out that the former tennis player showed \u201cno remorse\u201d for his actions and had a history of misconduct including \u201cfive prior incidents of offensive conduct toward tennis officials and non-compliance with tennis rules\u201d. <\/p>\n
\u201cAnti-doping personnel play a fundamental role behind the scenes in upholding the integrity of tennis, and they should be able to go about their roles without fear of physical contact,\u201d ITIA CEO Karen Moorhouse said in a statement.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn this case, that line was clearly crossed, and we had no other option but to take action.\u201d<\/p>\n
Lleyton has confirmed he will appeal the decision.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m just really disappointed about the overall decision, but also whole process, to be honest. The lack of facts that have been put out,\u201d said the former world No.1. <\/p>\n
\u201cBut I\u2019ll be going through the appeal process with my legal team so I won\u2019t be talking about it further.\u201d<\/p>\n
This is not the first time the Hewitt family have found themselves in hot water after losing their cool on the court. <\/p>\n
In July, 16-year-old Cruz snapped at his famous father during his second-round boys\u2019 singles defeat at\u00a0Wimbledon.<\/p>\n

Cruz lost his temper at Lleyton and his support team when the match started slipping away and accused his father of \u201cacting for the cameras\u201d. <\/p>\n
When Lleyton<\/a> then tried to offer another piece of advice, Cruz snapped back with \u201cI tried that!\u201d. <\/p>\nIn the second set, his team tried to calm him down by saying \u201ceverything is fine\u201d to which he replied \u201cIt\u2019s not fine \u2014 it\u2019s nearly 4-0!\u201d<\/p>\n
Lleyton\u2019s suspension will start in two weeks and run from September 24 until October 7. <\/p>\n
During that time, the tennis coach won\u2019t be able to take part in \u201call tennis-related activities, including coaching, mentoring, playing, captaincy and other associated roles\u201d. <\/p>\n
