\n\tHot off her first Emmy and Golden Globe nomination for her starring role in HBO\u2019s The Penguin, Cristin Milioti<\/a> has inked a deal to star in Buddy<\/a>, a new film from Too Many Cooks helmer Casper Kelly<\/a>, Deadline has confirmed.<\/p>\n

\n\tWritten by Kelly and Jaime King (World\u2019s Best), the film\u2019s plot is being kept under wraps, but it\u2019s been described as a \u201cnew experience in horror.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tProduction is underway, with J.D. Lifshitz & Raphael Margules producing for BoulderLight<\/a> (Companion, Friendship), alongside Tyler Davidson & Drew Sykes for Low Spark Films<\/a> (Emily The Criminal, Take Shelter), which co-financed the project \u2014 in association with Sipur Studios (Bad Boy) & Substance. BoulderLight VP of Development & Production Tracy Rosenblum is exec producing. <\/p>\n

\n\tDrawing rave reviews for her turn as Sofia Falcone in The Penguin, Milioti has also recently been seen reprising her role as Nanette Cole in Black Mirror\u2018s \u201cUSS Callister: Into Infinity.\u201d Recently, she also joined the FX pilot Seven Sisters, where she stars opposite Elizabeth Olsen.<\/p>\n

\n\tBest known for writing, directing and exec producing Too Many Cooks, a viral, surreal short for Adult Swim, Kelly is also known for projects like\u00a0Your Pretty Face Is Going to Hell,\u00a0Stroker & Hoop and Star Trek: Very Short Treks, among others.<\/p>\n
